Randstad is helping Develop Diverse to find a Head of Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join them as they innovate new machine learning and language processing techniques to detect subconscious bias in Language.
Develop Diverse are based in Copenhagen, but remote is also OK.
They are looking for someone senior to mid-level who has experience in machine learning, natural language processing, linguistics, as well as experience directing research efforts in a non-academic setting.
You will be expected to coordinate and direct projects to completion while keeping customer-readiness in mind. You will be working directly with their NLP researcher and software development team, exploring and innovating on procedures to best detect bias in text at-scale, and you will be guiding them all the way from experiment to production-ready product.

At the same time, you would like to be an integral part of their team, contribute with your expertise, further develop your skills with them and make every effort to ensure that their mission is achieved.
What Develop Diverse expect from you
- Have an accredited degree in Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or equivalent
- Have 4 years’ experience applying machine learning techniques in a coding framework (eg Matlab or Python/Jupyter or C++ or equivalent)
- Have 2 years’ experience applying machine learning/NLP in a non-academic setting
- Have well-tested project management skills
- Have a deep interest in transforming the theoretical into the practical
You will be reporting directly to the CTO of Develop Diverse.
If you are applying as a remote candidate:
- you must be working within the EU
- you should be prepared to set up your own tax entity in your EU country and to be billed as a consultant if necessary
- Set company’s NLP strategy going forward (based on the product roadmap)
- Freedom to experiment on ML problems with real impact
