ESG profile with a flair for climate, environment and social responsibility for Danish energy company


In this business-oriented position, you help to make the power in the power outlet greener and accelerate the development away from fossil energy sources. BeGreen develops, establishes and operates solar parks in Denmark and within a manageable time horizon also in other countries in Europe. Although BeGreen is already an established player, you get into the company in an early stage and therefore you have the opportunity to help shape the company on its further growth journey.

As the pipeline of projects grows, the need to work with ESG is also growing and therefore a colleague is being sought who can take responsibility for ESG at BeGreen.

It is the task of the ESG manager to make ESG a natural part of everyday life in BeGreen, so that BeGreen’s many partners act in accordance with BeGreen’s guidelines and requirements in the ESG area. The work tasks are diverse and to be successful, you must be passionate about creating business value with ESG. On a daily basis, you will work on assessing ESG’s risk on the projects BeGreen participates in, in Denmark as well as in Europe, as well as controlling the value chain at the suppliers and their manufacturers – as well as documenting LCA calculations of the solar cells’ climate and environmental footprint, to conduct screening, data collection, analysis and assessment, as well as documentation and follow-up on national and international projects and ensure that they follow BeGreen’s ESG policy and guidelines. As BeGreen also wants to qualify its ESG profile in its annual reports, this will also be a priority task.

You become an important part of the business unit, where you report directly to one of the companys Senior Partners and in close collaboration with the other Partner Group and your other colleagues in BeGreen.

Do you have control over data, and do you want to help drive the green transition?


There are several paths into the role where you have presumably worked with ESG in a consulting firm, other commercially oriented firm or the like. You are analytical and logical thinking and have the technical understanding of the amounts of data that are juggled in the ESG role. You are used to working with commercial mindset, as well as being driven to achieve results, without compromising on either decency or honesty. In terms of education, you have a relevant education from the university, business school or similar, where the practical experience, however, weighs heavier than educational background. From here, you have a good understanding of the importance of executing tasks as well as keeping relevant stakeholders informed during the process.

In the foreseeable future, BeGreen will unleash its international potential and therefore it is expected that you master both Danish and English at business level – in writing as well as orally.

You have both the ability and the desire to make things happen, and as a person you radiate positive energy and drive, and you are good at collaborating, communicating at all levels as well as creating and maintaining professional relationships. In addition, you are data-driven, and work structured with the goal in mind.

Help drive current and future ESG goals and guidelines


Here you have the opportunity to become a key person in BeGreen. The function is extremely important, and you will have a decisive influence on BeGreen and BeGreen’s suppliers living up to BeGreen’s ESG policy and guidelines – and helping to shape how the ESG policy and guidelines will develop in the future.

BeGreen is today the first company to have built solar parks and to produce certified green energy without any kind of subsidy and still provide attractive electricity prices to consumers and a stable, high return for investors. BeGreen remains dedicated in its projects and takes responsibility for operating and managing its solar parks. This ensures that the parks produce smoothly and offer the highest production safety in the market.

In 2019, BeGreen has installed 120 MWp solar parks in Denmark. In 2020/2021, BeGreen will build an additional 490 MWp solar cell capacity.
