Join our global sustainability team
Based out of our headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, you will find your new team, Group Sustainability. Our team works across our organisation, supporting the broader agenda within all areas of sustainability, including communications, projects, ensuring that we live up to legislation, etc.
The team consists of 6 very open, fun and truly international people, located in Germany, Switzerland, Singapore and Denmark. Besides you, there are two additional colleagues working from Denmark. Even though we are spread out geographically, we manage to maintain a solid relationship.
Work with all aspects of sustainability across DSV
As our new senior sustainability manager, you will get to work with a broad range of Sustainability aspects across our organisation. Overall, your purpose will be to support the Senior Director of Sustainability to ensure that DSV works towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay green – this includes keeping in line with applicable frameworks and communicate the overall Group Corporate Responsibility programme externally.
With Sustainability as your focal point, a lot of your tasks and responsibilities will include stakeholder management, presentations and general communication, which also involves close collaboration with our Global Marketing team. Thus, your workdays will vary immensely, and you will quickly gain a wide internal network.
Specific tasks and responsibilities include:

- Ensuring that DSV is kept up to date with relevant international and Danish environmental legislation
- Collaborating cross-functionally to lead and implement sustainability projects across the company to reduce our carbon footprint
- Producing educational and communication material for internal employees and external media publications
- Participating in making and presenting strategies at relevant conferences
- Joining the Account Management team at customer meetings as the specialist presenting the DSV sustainability strategy

Furthermore, we imagine that you:
- Have a relevant degree – perhaps within sustainability, environmental sciences, biology, chemistry or engineering but it can also be a business degree or equivalent
- Have solid experience with sustainability as well as with working in an international environment
- Speak and write English and Danish fluently
- Have basic understanding of and ability to assess Danish and International legislation process in regard to sustainability and further convert this to practical knowledge
- Are experienced with project management and have good analytical skills
