About the Department
The department is an established organisation including mechanical engineers, risk- and system engineers and project assistants. We are moving a brand-new device through early phase development and making it ready for upscaling. Organizationally, the team is growing and the need to work with numerous stakeholders across Novo Nordisk is increasing.
We are a part of Novo Nordisk Device Research & Development, which is the area responsible for the development of medical devices for self-treatment within all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. We invented the market for insulin injection devices with the launch of the world’s first insulin pen in 1985 and aim to further advance our offerings to people living with diabetes or other chronical diseases and their healthcare professionals through new technologies, including Digital Health solutions.
You will join a dynamic, international, innovative environment, where highly skilled professionals work closely together to develop next generation medical devices.
The Job
As our new Risk Manager, your main responsibilities will include the establishment of risk analyses and documentation of development processes to ensure that the device is safe and can be approved by regulatory bodies as well as preparing device documentation for submission with health authorities. Within all tasks, you will be expected to work with a large range of internal and external stakeholders, and you will play an important role in connecting these stakeholders across professional areas of expertise.
In other words, you will take part in driving our risk management activities ranging from risk analyses to submission of documentation and an important aspect of this is to take responsibility for the continuous improvement of our processes aiming at making sure that they are as simple as they can be, without compromising on quality. To succeed in the role, you need to thrive with close dialogues and coordination with many stakeholders combined with conducting thorough risk analyses.
Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree or equivalent within engineering. You may be a newly graduated talent with a personal journey that reflects high passion and ambition, but preferably you have 2-3 years of relevant work experience within risk assessments within medical devices. Experience from working in a highly regulated industry, e.g. pharmaceuticals or medico, automotive, aerospace, and aviation is not required, but preferred.
As a person, you have a collaborative mind-set and use your great interpersonal skills to communicate openly, reach out to stakeholders across the organisation and facilitate meetings and workshops in order to reach decisions and ensure progress. You thrive on being detail-oriented while being able to see the bigger picture.
Professional proficiency within oral and written English is essential.
