About the department
Device R&D is an area within our Global R&D organisation. We develop medical devices for self-treatment, supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. Device R&D is located at a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Hillerød and has a long and outstanding track-record for developing the best, most innovative and widely-used delivery devices in the world. You will be part of a department that works on bringing the first digital health device solution for our prefilled pens to the market.

The Position
As Senior Project Manager, you will have both project and people responsibility with one or more device projects. Your team’s responsibility is diverse, ranging from requirement engineering, risk management, test protocols, technical writing of regulatory documents, UX and usability engineering.

As a part of your managerial responsibility, you will drive performance management and set direction in order to ensure the development and delivery of all the required documentation for regulatory approval. We will only succeed, if you contribute to the optimisation of our processes and ensure that we grow our organisational capabilities within your area of responsibilities. The entire project is based on a cross organisational cooperation and you will lead this cooperation across units encompassing Development, Regulatory, Production, Quality, Medical teams and Drug Development.

As a line manager, you will be responsible for the short- and long-term motivation of the project team, ensuring and driving high performance and the development of your people. Besides your responsibilities as a team manager you will be part of the department’s management team.

The role has a global reach with outsourcing development- and production partner outside Denmark, hence the position might require your longer term presence or potentially re-location at our development partners facility.

Travel is expected up to 25-50 days per year.

Qualifications
You have a MSc in engineering or similar, preferably 3-5 years of experience as a project manager and experience within people management. Experience within digital health solutions, software development and outsourcing management will be an advantage for this position, but not a requirement.

Your team will benefit from your strong experience and understanding of working with product management or product maintenance. An experience you have acquired in a production setting, a development organisation or within regulation preferably from the pharma industry or similar highly regulated environments.

You possess a great business sense and excel at engaging and supporting people to achieve their best while complementing project specified goals. It is natural for you to set direction and you quickly build strong working relationships with all types of stakeholders from different backgrounds. Good communication skills are a must including the ability to target your communication to a broad set of stakeholders at all organisational levels.

Lastly, you are proficient in both spoken and written English.
