Director Pharmacology & New Target Discovery

Y-mAbs is a rapidly growing late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel, antibody-based therapeutic products for the treatment of cancer. The company has a broad and advanced product pipeline, including two pivotal-stage product candidates, which target tumors.
In the newly established position as Director Pharmacology & New Target Discovery, you will be responsible for pre-clinical pharmacology strategies and programs and contribute to setting up and overseeing CRO-based activities supporting the pre-clinical programs and early clinical analyses including pharmacokinetics and biomarkers.
You will join the Translational Medicine group covering all pharmacology, toxicology, target discovery, assay development and First in Human clinical protocols.
With direct report to Chief Scientific Officer, Global Head Translational Medicine.
Your main tasks are:
Your qualifications are exceptional technical and scientific skills to develop and implement pharmacology and strategies to advance the development of drug candidates from pre-clinical into clinical development focusing on large molecules including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies and radio-conjugated antibodies.
The preferred candidate has solid experience with in vivo and in vitro pharmacology model systems, preferably within the field of immunology or oncology, and an ability to integrate pre-clinical PK and PD data, for optimal target evaluation, design of the pre-clinical program and translation to the clinic. Moreover, you should have an understanding of the overall process of drug development and the overall pharmaceutical R&D process and the ability to handle contributions to multiple pharmacology programs, simultaneously. Moreover, you must have established a level of expertise and scientific reputation through publications and/or presentations.
Experience with writing Pharmacology regulatory submission documents is an advantage and you have a demonstrated scientific acumen and mechanistic understanding of disease biology.
Finally, you can recognize, articulate and accept calculated risks to make informed decisions.
A PhD or equivalent degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or relevant Biological Sciences with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (including postdoctoral studies) OR an M.S. or Pharma degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required.
You can distill complex issues and clearly articulate solutions. You are a hands-on team player with the ability to demonstrate effectiveness and growth in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a person, you are highly analytical, comfortable with numbers, and can act independently and have good presentation and communication skills. You have a highly developed ability to cooperate with multiple stakeholders in an international company, both internally and externally. Finally, you deliver on your promises, are detail-oriented while understanding and working within a larger framework.

- Develop, implement and execute innovative, scientifically robust and efficient pre-clinical pharmacology strategies to drive Y-mAbs’ pipeline assets through all the stages from research, development, and to the market
- Collaborate with other disciplines within the TM group structure to contribute to the delivery of corporate goals including pre-clinical pharmacology, safety, toxicology and DMPK studies
- Be part of a team looking into new product candidates/new targets
- Represent the pre-clinical pharmacology function in global project teams and take accountability for pre-clinical pharmacology deliverables
- Apply and promote pre-clinical pharmacology knowledge, including pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics analyses and principles of model-based drug development in the programs for all stages of drug development
