At a time of transformational change, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT procurement professional to join the Maersk IT Vendor & Contract Management team and deliver substantial value, through applying your superior relationship management, negotiation skills and advanced commercial acumen.
As an IT Vendor Manager, you will be based at either our Copenhagen or Maidenhead offices and work with our most important partners and vendors, as well as internal stakeholders and senior leadership.

As an IT Vendor Manager, you will gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, as well as understand how the complexity of IT supports the transport and logistics business. You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of business issues through regular engagement with key stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk. •Management of the vendor governance process
•Develop and manage supplier relationships, being a bridge between IT and the Vendor
•Performance and Risk management
•Driving continuous improvement and innovation
•Supporting the development and execution of commercial strategies
•Providing subject matter expertise to help drive optimal contractual arrangements
•Driving value
You will have significant responsibility from the start and be expected to execute and deliver on time and in line with business needs.
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT vendor management with a strong commercial IT background, have widespread experience working with leading, global vendors in an international company, be degree-educated and ideally have, or be working towards, a professional qualification, such as MCIPS or IACCM SRM certification.
You are passionate about vendor management, driven and have a demonstrable track record of successfully driving value, through technical excellence, skilled relationship management, effective communication and stakeholder management.
You are a team player, able to successfully prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Are open-minded, a good communicator and able to establish relationships across geographical boundaries and cultures.
Can work independently having a personal drive and a strategic mind-set. Naturally engages stakeholders and actively manages expectations and you dare to challenge previous beliefs and traditions, persistently driving the business optimisation agenda.
