You will be the leading the Corporate Real Estate team based in Copenhagen and driving the global real estate agenda across an extensive portfolio of more than 600 sites. Most properties are leased, however, there are also a number of owned sites. The portfolio is a combination of office, logistics/warehouses and industrial.
You will engage, drive and work together with the team to develop and deliver on the Maersk Corporate Real Estate strategy.

You will be responsible for:
• Leading a team of 6 colleagues in Copenhagen and Mumbai
• Building and executing on an exciting and aggressive warehousing strategy
• Engaging a large community of stakeholders, often at senior level, both internally and externally
• Playing an active role in developing Real Estate strategies for the various product lines as well as the overall Maersk Real Estate Strategy
• Deliver on profit and savings targets on leases and divestments
The overall real estate strategy targets reductions in office expenses and asset optimization, while securing efficient and effective workplaces for our colleagues. Typical projects include office relocations/optimizations, divestment projects, acquisitions, project management, and space optimization. You will have the opportunity to deliver on all types of Real Estate engagements and workplace optimization.
Your position and tasks offer a unique opportunity to create a strong network in the real estate industry as well as across the Maersk organisation and you will have a chance to truly showcase your commercial understanding and business acumen.
We are looking for a candidate with anywhere between 5-10 years of Real Estate experience of a global nature. Multinational corporate or consultancy experience will be especially noted. You have a legal, finance or business-related education; maybe combined with a real estate related degree/designation like CoreNet MCR or MRICS.
You should have recent team management/leadership experience and thrive is this role.
You need to possess refined communication and interpersonal skills. You get excited by taking an active part in transforming our organisation to further support our customer’s needs. You are open-minded and you challenge both your surroundings and yourself in order to continuously improve and reach the next level within Corporate Real Estate. You have a strong personal drive and you are able to positively develop your team, whilst you take an active and leading part in the execution needed.
You are good at solving complex business problems in a structured and analytical manner, e.g. via project management and negotiations. You can guide the team to conduct deep dive financial analysis and effectively communicating the conclusions, e.g. making executive summaries of possible strategies for presentation to senior management.
