We are looking for a maternity cover for the Head of Global Sales Operations, reporting to the Head of Global Sales Engagement. In this role, you will collaborate with our global Sales colleagues and central product teams to drive critical sales projects and deliver on our growth ambitions. This is a key role where you will be uniquely positioned to impact how we shape and execute sales in line with our global integrator strategy.

The role has direct responsibility for 5 team members (and growing) and indirect influence on over 2500 sales resources across Maersk.

Key responsibilities


• Leading the global sales operations department, monitoring the effectiveness of sales efforts, and ensuring that they are aligned with the overall business objectives.
• Govern and orchestrate the sales target setting process in line with business objectives.
• Support the success of mergers and acquisitions by integrating new colleagues, products and services into the Maersk sales systems, tools, and processes.
• Salesforce design and deployment, including sales role design, sales coverage, and blueprint. Continuous development of the Global Service Centre sales setup to ensure frontline Sales receive the needed support to sell more - and more effectively.
• Ownership and development of the global Sales Incentive Program (SIP) as well as SIP analysis and effectiveness.
• Responsible for Sales analytics and enhancing visibility of pipeline management to help Sales identify opportunities for growth. Ensure Sales management has the needed visibility of key metrics to effectively drive and improve the way sales work and keep a strong sales pipeline.
• Responsible for global Salesforce.com Sales Cloud governance and development. Working closely with the CRM (Salesforce.com) platform team to identify solutions and technologies that drive sales efficiency and revenue growth and anchor CRM process changes in the sales organisation.
• Partner and collaborate with Sales Operations Managers and Area Sales Leaders to drive results.
• Act as change agent for organisational, business and process transformation.

• You are proactive in identifying and acting on ideas for new solutions and process improvements. You are energetic, forward-thinking, and creative with an ability to inspire and support Sales to drive effective customer centric solutions.
• You understand how to leverage data proactively to drive business decisions and have demonstrated proficiency in using data to drive business results.
• You have a master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or any other business-related field and +10 years of relevant work experience.
• Previous leadership experience is a prerequisite.
• An understanding of Salesforce.com and other sales tools is an advantage.
