As Commercial & Market Regulation Manager in Maersk’s Public & Regulatory Affairs team, you will play a key role in shaping international policy and the regulatory environment to drive business value and competitive advantage for Maersk.

Key Responsibilities
Our global Public & Regulatory Affairs team follows and analyzes political and regulatory developments and engages in dialogue with governments, authorities, industry organizations and other stakeholders on issues that could impact Maersk’s business framework conditions. Furthermore, we provide support and guidance to management and business units in engagement with government representatives or other authorities.
Key areas of responsibilities - commercial & market regulation relating to taxation, pricing, and Maersk’s strategic integration and direction
- Business issues management. Monitoring, mapping, and analyzing of public policy and regulatory issues of relevance to Maersk businesses; in coordination with business leaders prioritizing issues based on a value-at-stake approach; monitoring and reporting on developments. Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.
- Analysis and advocacy. Develop advocacy strategies, plans and positions to ensure positive positioning of Maersk, as well as effective engagement on the key commercial regulatory and public policy issues important to Maersk’s business. Produce quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as relevant advocacy material, including background briefings, position papers, and speeches to prepare the participation of executive management.
- Coordinate engagement with Maersk business stakeholders. Planning of Maersk’s government relations and public policy activities, including engaging appropriately with relevant key government officials, business associations coalitions and other relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, mobilize and involve senior executives in engagement with external stakeholders when relevant and appropriate.
- Maersk Group collaboration. Participate and contribute to the global agenda and tasks of the global Public & Regulatory Affairs team. Furthermore, partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Tax, Compliance, Decarbonization, Sustainability, Communications, and others.
- Monitor Policy developments. Following general political and policy trends with commercial impact to support business development and mitigate risks. Analyze and report on these developments when relevant for Maersk’s prioritized regulatory issues.
Who we are looking for
You have a Master’s/Bachelor's Degree preferably within political science, public policy, law, or economics (or other relevant disciplines). You are positive, energetic, diplomatic with sound judgment, and a good team player with a strong collaboration mindset who installs trust, inside and outside the team. You are analytical, structured, creative and strategic, able to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity and balance multiple and competing tasks.
You have solid experience with public policy/government affairs (e.g., from a role in government/agency, MNC, consultancy, auditing or similar). You are a self-starter that takes lead and owns both the process and the outcome, all the way.

- Exemplary networking and influencing skills, as well as solid analytical capabilities.
- Ability to grasp, analyze and translate complex issues into a language suitable for concerned audiences in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to partner effectively and form relationships with peers and management.
- Highly skilled in written and spoken English.
- Experience in a commercial role will be considered an advantage.
