The role of the Lead Finance business partner is to provide performance management, financial analytics and decision support to the Stakeholders working closely with the contract product organisation. In doing so they must leverage “One set of numbers” and establish a strong link between financial numbers and Commercial actions.

The Finance Business Partner is expected to provide insight and foresight that enables the Contract Product organization to consistently create value for customers and shareholders. The Contract Product is the Organisations efforts to create an attractive value proposition that meets our customer needs and creates longer and lasting partnerships with them and as a Finance business partner we display a genuine sense of responsibility towards their requirements and business.

The Finance business partner, through the operating system must maintain and contribute towards an effective performance management framework and have a detailed understanding of the financial numbers as well as solid business knowledge. Through this he/she must challenge and contribute to more data driven decisions.

The Contract Lead Finance Business Partner is expected to:

- Be responsible for supporting and engaging in business decision making for the Contract product Organization, by providing value-add analysis, management reporting, deep dive analysis, performance management reporting and financial forecasts.

- Be a strong verbal and written communicator, and present facts and figures along with recommendation and calls for actions

- Drive global actions and connecting Headquarters and frontline needs and intiatives.

- Develop an understanding the product life cycles and be able to provide insights for driving the performance.

- Be self-driven, solution oriented and

- Contribute to a strong, motivated, and high performing team

- To have a track record of coaching, developing and leading a team, with a keen interest in being a role model

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides: P/L and financial insights for Contracts products
  • Visibility on End-to-End profitability including and how contract products enables growth in other business segments (for example logistics or value added services)
  • Insights on customer sign-up monitoring and asset allocation control , adoptions and stickiness
  • Builds fact-based assumptions for contracts rolling forecast (Framework)
  • Supporting data and narrative with Senior Leadership and Regions/Markets

What We Are Looking For:

  • Master in Finance
  • 8 years+
  • Business Finance or Financial Planning and Analysis experience
  • Stakholder management
  • Clear communication, verbal and written
  • Able to translate financials into business
  • Ocean contract understanding and BI , are a plus, but not required
