Join Maersk Growth, the global partner for external innovation at A.P. Moller – Maersk, as our Ecosystem Insights Manager and become part of the team guiding the strategic direction of Maersk’s transformation. Working alongside passionate colleagues, you will lead the strategic insights efforts of Maersk Growth, with the purpose of shedding light on emerging trends, technologies, and business models from the startup ecosystem. So if you are a seasoned analyst with a genuine interest in supply chain and climate tech trends, this role really is the best of both worlds – leveraging insights from the external innovation ecosystem while effectively supporting the integration of the emerging technology insights into the operational framework of Maersk.
So… what will you actually do?
As our new Ecosystem Insights Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and sharing strategic insights from the startup ecosystem with stakeholders across Maersk. You will play a key role in ensuring a holistic understanding of the new and emerging technologies and solutions in the market, in your position as a sparring partner, challenger and thought leader. You will join the Ecosystem Engagement Team, headed up by Ida Christine Brun, which is responsible for everything related to our engagement with the external startup ecosystem including portfolio engagement. This entails scouting, assessments, networking and ensuring access to relevant startups for Maersk to invest and/ or strategically collaborate with. The team collaborates closely with the Strategic Business Innovation team, which engages with the wider internal organisation of Maersk to bridge external innovation and support our tech and decarbonisation transformation.
You will play a central role in identifying future strategic opportunities for Maersk, and hereby broaden the horizon of key stakeholders beyond what we work with today.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Being the driving force of collecting, sharing, and delivering actionable strategic insights to key stakeholder at Maersk, catering to the varying needs of different stakeholder groups.
- Drive the insights engine by providing data-driven investment trend analyses, portfolio insights and in-depth studies on new technologies and business models related to logistics and supply chains.
- Drive the continuous review of our strategic direction as you act as Maersk Growth anchor for driving new thinking and identifying new opportunities which will support our leaders to navigate in the rapid evolving innovation ecosystem and effectively strategies.
- Be part of an ambitious and passionate Growth team, where your role will entail possessing a futuristic and strategic outlook in spotting early signals of potential disruptions within the startup innovation ecosystem on global supply chains.
- Support with strategic insights for identifying new opportunity areas for Growth, scouting and assessing startups, and communicating insights internally within Maersk, as well as externally to the wider world.
- Report into Ida, Head of External Ecosystem Engagement, who you together will continuously select and prioritize strategic projects.

- Have a genuine passion for and interest in the startup and investment ecosystem and new ground-breaking innovations (related to supply chains).
- Have an analytic approach and can navigate data as you will transform complex messages and data into simple, yet convincing presentations. Thus, having a data-driven and structured way of working.
- Have a strategic mindset to transform comprehensive findings into actionable insights, prioritising the value they bring to Maersk's business, thus positioning us at the forefront of new developments within the external innovation ecosystem.
- Energetic, confident, and positive personality with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Are like a fish in water when we talk stakeholder management as you will collaborate with colleagues from various teams in Maersk.
- Can deal with high degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where priorities (and scope) can change in an instant (and it tends to…)
