We are looking for a seasoned professional to work closely with senior leaders to align our people strategies with our business goals and objectives.
As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to create collaborative and consultative relationships with leaders, enabling business change and advocating for people solutions that drive success.
Your contributions will range from setting objectives and delivering on your own responsibilities to influencing long-term tactical decisions for the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive cohesion, standardization, and shared impact across the organization.
As a Global People Business Partner at Maersk, you will be recognized as an expert within the organization and will have the opportunity to develop and execute functional business plans that contribute to the overall success of the organization. You will also have the chance to mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, building organizational capabilities and talent bench strength.
About the role
As Global People Business Partner,
- You will support the Strategy function, and the Head of Strategy who is a member of the Maersk executive leadership team. Strategy is charting the course of the Maersk Transformation by defining and refining strategic choices and by enabling and steering the operationalization. The function encompasses e.g. Maersk Management Consulting, Maersk Growth, Strategy Consulting, and the newly established Process Excellence organization. A global, multifaceted, ambitious and dynamic function with broad and deep impact across the enterprise.
- You will also support the Global Safety and Resilience function, and the Head of Global Safety & Resilience who is part of the Operations function, to accelerate the S&R transformation journey we started in 2023. Our goal is to foster a global safety culture where we take safety seriously and personally, where we have a speak up culture and where we provide upskilling to S&R professionals and leaders across Maersk, enabling our growth and the support of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive business growth and profitability through strategic planning and decision-making
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver on key business initiatives.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities to drive business success
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Act as a thought leader within the organization, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Act as a change agent, driving transformation and organizational change as needed to support business goals.
What we are looking for
- Strategic People Business Partnering experience, focusing on aligning people strategies with business goals and objectives.
- Strong consulting and coaching skills
- Ability to drive business change through people solutions advocacy.
- Experience partnering with senior leaders on key talent initiatives such as leadership development, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning.
- Ability to build collaborative and consultative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Previous leadership experience is not a must but a strong advantage.
