You will be part of the recently established Sustainability department in the Group Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs organisation. In the Sustainability department we are responsible for directing, preparing, proposing and updating Vestas' sustainability strategy as well as reporting to the Executive Management and the Board of Directors on the company's sustainability performance. We are also responsible for coordinating the implementation of the sustainability strategy as well as providing support to the functional areas on the execution of the company's sustainability commitments.
We work closely with a large number of functional areas including Quality, Safety & Environment, Power Solutions, Procurement, Global Supply Chain, Facility Management, Service, People & Culture, Corporate Social Responsibility, Investor Relations and Sales. We are also responsible for all external sustainability reporting and communication. Embedded in the department' responsibilities lay also employee engagement linked to sustainability.

Reporting to Vestas' Head of Sustainability you have the opportunity to impact Vestas' future competitiveness and value offerings by contributing with your skills, business understanding and sharp mind to a team responsible for the formulation and implementation of Vestas's sustainability strategy, and for delivering best-in-class sustainability reporting including but not limited to internal and product environmental data, social data, supply chain and governance data. Responsibilities
Reporting to Vestas' Head of Sustainability you have the opportunity to impact Vestas' future competitiveness and value offerings by contributing with your skills, business understanding and sharp mind to a team responsible for the formulation and implementation of Vestas's sustainability strategy, and for delivering best-in-class sustainability reporting including but not limited to internal and product environmental data, social data, supply chain and governance data. In addition, your responsibilities will cover:
- Project manage, coordinate and follow-up on the sustainability strategy implementation in close collaboration and alignment with your stakeholders
- Collect sustainability data. This will encompass integrating existing data sets as well as developing new data capture mechanisms, including development of a sustainability dashboard
- Internal and external sustainability reporting including performance on sustainability commitments, risk identification, yearly sustainability report preparation, and report into various sustainability indexes and surveys such as Communication on progress to UN Global Compact, Dow Jones Sustainability Index and CDP
- Contribute to the continuous review and update of the company's sustainability goals and commitments
- Support to the functional areas to ensure development and progress on action plans, resources and KPIs towards sustainability commitments and targets
- Support the development of sustainability targets for key sustainability metrics
- Support in the development of supplier and customer sustainability partnerships/collaborations
Qualifications
- Approximately 5 years of experience from working with sustainability data and metrics, communication of these and strategy development
- A relevant academic background at Masters’ level were sustainability has been an integrated part
- Demonstrated experience from sustainability reporting, including annual sustainability reports
- Experience in data management, integration of data from multiple sources/systems and data dashboard development
- Experience with managing projects
- Experience from working in a complex, international corporate culture
- Fluent in verbal and written English
