Reporting to our COO, you will become part of a strong and exciting team. The position is based in Copenhagen, but for the right candidate alternative locations will be considered.
Summary
The successful candidate for this role will have significant prior experience from a customer facing business master data role working with online catalogue, preferably from a trading business (retail or wholesale).
You are motivated by and proactive take ownership of building a customer focused online catalogue, which supports the transaction-based purchase decisions onboard vessels as well as strategic decision making at buyers & suppliers corporate level.
Quality first approach. Our online catalogue is the heart of what we do and our key selling point towards customers and we will at all times treat it accordingly. We build the catalogs together with the suppliers and tailor them to the buyers' needs.
Owning and constantly pushing ‘What you click is what you get’ into everything we think and do - across the organization and eco system.

Since Source2Sea is a start-up company, the tasks will vary and a high level of adaptation to business and buyers/supplier needs is expected.
- Initially the role will be oriented towards continuing the buildout of the Catalogue and Master data team and implementing a new PIM system and supplier upload portal
- Ensuring we have the right attributes, framework and mindset to reach our ambition of being the #1 marketplace in the maritime industry
- Establish and execute thorough processes and quality checks to ensure market leading standards on data and image quality
- Working closely with the Tech team to ensure that Source2Sea systems supports the current and future requirements of a state-of-the-art online catalogue.
- Working closely with the Commercial team to ensure we are ready to onboard the pipeline of suppliers and customers to grow our business, which includes onboarding hundreds of suppliers globally creating a true global marketplace catalogue.
- Leading and taking ownership when building new ports/countries and/or new categories with a completely different set of decisions points and thereby also sets of attributes
- Search and chasing up potential data aggregators (eg. GS1, ETIM etc)
- Ongoing maintaining Supplier requirements (manual)
We are looking for a person with the below skill set:
- High level of business acumen bringing the data and attributes alive in a commercial context
- Data centric and customer mindset
- Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset but still an eye for the detail
- Self-motivated, versatile and with a resolve to get the job done
- Experience with PIM systems and supplier upload portals
- Ability to work and thrive in a multi-faceted organization where internal collaboration and teamwork is critical to success
- Fluency in English is a pre-requisite
Your education and experience will include:
- A minimum of 5 years MDM master data management and online catalogue experience
- A strong understanding of the business, business processes and operating models
- Experience with managing specialists
