The job as Head of Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) is placed in the Technology department and the role is part of the Technology Leadership Team. The PPMO is responsible for all cross-organisation large projects in Karnov Group with direct report to Jesper Kingo, Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Your tasks will include:
- Responsible for delivering portfolio value from large and high-value projects across the organisation by aligning strategic plans, roadmaps and balancing the portfolio
- Management of the processes, methods, and technologies used by product owners and product managers
- Run an effective PPMO platform with focus on balancing innovation and controlling development investments
- Lead and facilitate PPMO Board meetings including documentation and communication
- Ensure compliance and implementation of projects decided in the PPMO Board
- Train the organisation in relevant project and scaled agile frameworks and our tailored governance model
- Work closely with Finance department on effective budgeting and reporting of projects and investments
- Build up internal relations and establish value-adding cooperation with the PPMO Board and the rest of the organisation.
About you
Your theoretical background could be, but not necessarily, a higher education at master’s degree level. It is more important that you have project management experience and that you enjoy working with a project organisation every day.
Professional skills:
- +5 years of experience as Head of Project Management Office
- Project management skills with focus on innovation and development
- Proven track record in balancing agile development project portfolios
- Leadership experience from small teams
- Mastering financial controlling of budgets and reports
- Solid methodology toolbox, e.g. stage-gate model, SAFe, Scrum, Prince2, MSP
- English at negotiation level (group language is English)
- Fluent in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian – written and oral
- Tooling: Office 365 – superior skills in Excel, Powerpoint and Sharepoint. Other tools for Project Management systems, e.g. Jira, Harvest, or like.
