Konges Sløjd embodies a Scandinavian, stylish and sustainable children’s world, primarily consisting of babywear and children’s clothing, children’s interior design items and other items made for children. To ensure the best possible foundation for our rapidly growing company, we seek a highly experienced Head of Production.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the sourcing and logistics team, which consists of eight people. You will have overall responsibility for the Supply Chain function – including purchasing, production, inventory management, logistics and quality assurance. The actual distribution of goods is carried out by an external fulfilment partner and your responsibilities include ensuring that systems, methods and procedures are integrated into the company strategy and that these support Konges Sløjd’s overall growth strategy.
Tasks and areas of responsibility – you will:
- Lead and develop the best purchasing and logistics team.
- Establish a cohesive supply chain strategy that supports Konges Sløjd’s international growth ambitions and personally run initiatives that optimise the entire supply chain.
- Work in close collaboration with the design team to ensure the optimal purchasing strategy.
- Continue the development in creating the strongest supplier network in the category in relation to quality, CSR, delivery reliability and price competitiveness.
- Maintain and develop a leading CSR policy and appropriate level of certifications.
- Be responsible for budgets and the optimisation of costs relating to purchasing and logistics.
You will be based at the Konges Sløjd office in Copenhagen city centre, and you will be a member of the management team, reporting directly to the company’s CEO and founder, Emilie Konge Breindal.
Hands-on manager and expert in purchasing
We require someone who is truly hands-on, and who can help take our strong brand to the next level. You must have extensive purchasing know-how and experience and are highly competent in Supply Chain Management with insight into the entire value chain. This means that you have at approx. 5–10 years of experience in devising and executing purchasing and logistics strategies within a company that operates in the lifestyle segment.
You are a modern manager, who both develops and challenges your team. You are skilled at achieving an overview of tasks and once you have established an overview, you know exactly what and to whom you need to delegate responsibility, so the team achieves its goals as a single unit and in the best possible way.
You thrive in an environment where strategic decisions are made based on facts and on hands-on participation during different project phases. You firmly believe that this is precisely the right way to achieve the best results. At the same time, you use your intense engagement and drive to maintain focus on the objective, and your team quickly follow you because you inspire confidence and are trustworthy and impactful.
Modern, Scandinavian design
As a new mother in 2014, Emilie Konge Breindal realised she faced a challenge that she shared with all other mothers – how to find high-quality babywear and children's clothing and children’s interior design items and materials in neutral colours and which did not contain chemicals. It was the beginning of Konges Sløjd, which today has 1,500 dealers based in 82 countries.
