COWIs Business Unit for Railways, Metros, Roads and Airports needs a Head of Section who - like us - puts the colleagues' wellbeing and customer needs at its highest. We are therefore looking for a dedicated leader with a professional focus on operating and developing a section which assists COWIs infrastructure and Building projects both smaller and larger with a range of managerial and legal skills - Is this something for you?
Our department is experiencing steadily increasing activities, and there is a prospect for a continued large supply of exciting and challenging projects and growth in the current market both in Denmark and internationally. In our Business Unit we have 500 colleagues in Railways, Metros, Roads and Airports - distributed in offices both inside and outside Denmark.
Organisationally, you will become a Head of Section for 7 employees located in Lyngby. You will refer to the Vice President of the Department, which counts a total of 40 colleagues, and you will cooperate with several departments across COWI.
The section consists of Legal consultants who are specialised in:
We expect that the section will develop both in terms of competences and numbers the coming years.
HIGH MANAGERIAL LEVEL AND FLAIR OF GOOD PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
You have a relevant educational background as either Cand. Jur. or Cand. merc. Jur. and have several years of experience in Procurement Management or Contract Management.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the section continues to develop professionally and organisationally, as well as ensuring optimal resource utilization and overall well-being in the section as well as helping the department to achieve strategic goals.
Your tasks include among other things:
You will become part of the department management, where you, in cooperation with the other Head of Sections and directors in the department, will help to set the direction and develop the business.

- Ensure professional development for 7 strong profiles in your team
- Spearhead the development of the section
- Contribute to defining and implementing strategies and action plans
- Resource management
- Participate in sales activities
- Participate in project works.
You will become part of the department management, where you, in cooperation with the other Head of Sections and directors in the department, will help to set the direction and develop the business.
