If yes, then we are looking for an ambitious Project Lead who is eager to help implement new innovation projects across our research organisation.
About the department
In Global Drug Discovery(GDD), we are more than 800 colleagues who work on exploring scientific ideas, testing novel concepts and full-fledged research projects which could develop into novel medicines for people with diabetes, obesity, Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), cardiovascular and chronic kidney disease and other rare diseases. Our research sites are located in Denmark (Måløv), United Kingdom (Oxford), United States (Seattle and Boston) and China (Beijing) and utilise a large network of external collaborators from Biotech, Academia and non-profit organisations, making our research a truly global undertaking. We have an outstanding track record in particular in our long-standing core areas diabetes and obesity and are experts in pushing protein and peptide-based drug molecules into clinical development. We are growing our competencies in CV, NASH, CKD, rare blood diseases and targeting disease biological processes at an earlier stage.
In GDD Business Support, we are a team with a variety of professional backgrounds supporting our research organisation. The areas of responsibility in the department include quality, business ethics, human biosamples, GDPR, outsourcing, fellowship programmes, and shipping. The Project Leads in the department are supporting the research organisation for larger projects where process implementation is needed on a continuous basis.
The position
This position is created to specifically support our newly established partnership with Dicerna Pharmaceuticals. As a Project Lead, you will work in close collaboration with the overall Programme Lead for this partnership by securing involvement from all key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk R&D. You will implement internal processes for the collection of RNAi target ideas by liaising closely with the research organisation to facilitate target readiness and pipeline flow. Support to internal innovation campaigns and/or external initiatives may also be relevant.
You will consolidate target ideas, follow-up with key stakeholders and provide overviews to the Programme Lead, assist with planning and execution of cross-organisational meetings, and prepare internal communication. In addition, you will liaise with the R&D organisation to secure smooth internalisation of co-created projects in collaboration with the Programme Lead.
As a potential further development of the position, you will liaise with our Innovation Heads in the research organisation to act as project lead for other types of innovation projects, identify new opportunities and secure knowledge sharing from the Dicerna collaboration to our research organisation.

Qualification
You hold a Business or Scientific degree combined with relevant experience within drug discovery and development. In addition, you are expected to have minimum 5 years of project management experience in a scientific setting.

With a high degree of planning and multi-tasking abilities, you are able to operate in a complex and dynamic environment where your strong analytic mind-set enables you to focus on what is important. You are an excellent communicator, who likes working with people at all levels in the organisation.
