About the department
As part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family, CMC Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases around the world. We develop, manufacture and analyse all new products coming out of our research units, ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of GLP-1 and other molecules.
CMC OPF employs approximately 150 highly skilled people organised in seven teams. Our focus is to develop and manufacture solid dose tablets for pre-clinical as well as phase 1 and 2 clinical trials covering a broad and exciting range of process and analytical technologies for solid dosage forms.
The Position
You will take the role as IT Partner for CMC OPF with responsibility of enabling efficient and compliant operations of our IT Systems through optimisation, standardisation and digitalisation. We have exciting activities ongoing such as building new IT Architecture, digital solutions, data warehouses and are working towards an aspiration of establishing a digitalised continuous production process with full data accessibility, connectivity between technologies in the environment, in-line analyses with corresponding Process Analytical Technology (PAT) management system and electronic batch release. You will set the direction for our IT activities and organisation, preferably with an IT Strategy and roadmap where you also ensure key deliverables through crisp and efficient setup of IT roles in the organisation.
You will represent CMC OPF in the IT Process group in CMC Development and you will need to build a network of key stakeholders in Novo Nordisk. You will ensure that the IT strategy is reflected in all business activities, share better practises and drive harmonisation activities across CMC OPF and CMC Dev. In your role, you will get exposure to and work across our organisation and with a broad stakeholder landscape.
Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with IT procedures - providing consultancy and sparring to colleagues as well as drive and follow-up on local activities. You will work closely with the IT colleagues in our area in setting the appropriate level for computer validation. This includes defining and developing smart solutions and standards which will improve the process of computer system validation in our department. To perform in this position, you will need to work in accordance with Novo Nordisk procedures and external guidelines for computer systems validation, e.g. GAMP.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree within natural sciences or IT engineering or similar. Preferably you have experience from the pharmaceutical industry with e.g. computer system validation, IT infrastructure building, database software and security and IT process understanding. It is beneficial if you have knowledge of relevant quality standards in the pharmaceutical industry (GMP, ISO etc.). You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, where teamwork is at the top of the agenda.
You may also have experience from IT system management or support to process IT systems in general and are eager to apply your skills to a new area. As IT partner in CMC OPF drive, creative thinking and being solution-oriented is an advantage. Since you will be responsible for several process IT systems, you have the ability to work on many different tasks simultaneously. Great communication skills are a must. As a person, you are known to be structured and positive and you possess a great drive and enthusiastic approach to further develop own IT competencies and business understanding. You have a high commitment to find constructive solutions and take responsibility for your assignments.
