Would you like to take part in further developing the HSEQ department in a strong consolidated international company in the wind industry? The present HSEQ Director has pursued new challenges, and we are looking for his replacement to continue the positive development in the area. We have a solid foundation, but we need your contribution in order to create a world class HSEQ organisation.
As HSEQ Director in Global Wind Service you will guide, lead, train and develop the HSEQ agenda globally. Currently the team consists of 10 dedicated HSEQ professionals based in Poland, UK, The Netherlands, Turkey and Australia whom you will lead from Fredericia, Denmark.
Uphold an HSEQ culture second to none aligned with the overall business strategy
You will be responsible for maintaining a constant focus on all HSEQ matters during the planning and execution phases. You will uphold and further develop an in-depth safety culture and ensure that all sites comply with the internal processes and current rules and legislations regarding environment and safety. You will lead the implementation of HSEQ plans at our sites by breaking down the overall targets into daily operations and guidelines.
You will be reporting to the CEO and you and your team will cooperate intensively with operations including the service and project teams. You will be part of the operations management team as your key stakeholders are division directors, site managers, key customers and third-party interests. Communication towards both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and their HSEQ responsible, is the key to success. Audits will be conducted, and you will take lead in ISO standards and certification audits.
You will continuously work on establishing an even greater safety and quality focus in the company, while developing, implementing, and driving the overall HSEQ strategy aligned with the business strategy. You will take part in the yearly discussion for occupational safety with prioritised focus areas and further carry out incident investigations and site inspections. Moreover, you will maintain the legal register, track material damages and conduct contractor audits. The job takes you travelling 40-60 days a year.
Solid HSEQ experience and a can-do mindset
To qualify for this position, you need several years of leadership experience in an HSEQ environment and a technical background. Preferably obtained within complex construction projects or large-scale turnkey projects in the wind, marine, oil or power industry. You are familiar with relevant ISO standards and certification, HSEQ standards as well as legal HSEQ requirements.
A dynamic environment calls for a flexible “can-do” mind set. You see yourself as a resilient, proactive, goal-oriented manager who can develop new ideas, tools and procedures and maintain a stable and motivated organisation. Furthermore, you have high sense of urgency, you are to the point and know how to navigate in an ever-changing environment. Finally, you are a strong communicator with high impact towards external stakeholders.
