Are you an experienced people manager with a solid foundation within operations management through a combination of commercial mindset and technical understanding? Would it appeal to you to be overall responsible for developing and implementing short, medium, and long-term plans to grow the business of onshore and offshore electrical and HV inspection, repair, and maintenance services? Then you could be our new Director, Electrical Asset Management for the electrical organisation at Swire Renewable Energy. The position is 50/50 split between the company HQ in Lystrup near Aarhus and the Electrical Operational Office in Skive.
You will be managing a team of three direct reports who lead the business units in Denmark, the UK, and Poland. Indirectly there is a team of approx. 90 electrical/HV technicians plus about 100 self-employed (non-contract) electricians depending on the time in the season. The technicians are managed by four Service Managers with the support of coordinators and site supervisors. You must expect approx. 40-50 days of travel a year, primarily within Europe.
Technical Manager with a passionate drive for development and performance
You probably have a master’s degree within engineering or business combined with good technical understanding/experience, preferably also with a background as an electrician with a specialised HV skillset. It is crucial that you have a commercial mindset, understanding costumers and financial numbers in relation to projects, as well as a good contractual understanding and risk management skills. You might come from a similar position and have strong management/matrix organisation experience from an international company, preferably within the wind industry or the energy sector. You have significant experience as a people manager, and it would be an advantage if you have experience leading people from different cultures. You are a motivating and enthusiastic team player who thrives with challenges every day. You are action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and have an innovative approach to operational management. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills and a passionate drive for performance. Finally, you are fluent in written and spoken English.

- Defining electrical and HV product portfolio based on input from key stakeholders.
- Preparing company procedures with respect to electrical operating manuals and company documentation covering all electrical business under Swire Renewable Energy’s instruction
- In close collaboration with Technician Services, ensuring the electrical technicians are competent, suitably trained, and working in a safe environment and with safe working practices.
- Expanding the existing client base in close cooperation with Sales and providing technical and operational input to tenders
- Developing electrical service excellence to enhance profitability and support business growth.
