Are you an experienced sustainability professional with a proven track record within environment and governance areas? Do you have a keen interest in rapidly evolving European sustainability legislation? Can you translate your motivation for the sustainability agenda into concrete actions that will develop the company as a business? Then you might be the Sustainability Manager we are looking for to JYSK based at the head office in Aarhus.
Key role in supporting the sustainability agenda
At JYSK the sustainability agenda is advancing quickly, and we are seeking a new colleague to play a vital role in taking the sustainability work to the next level. Your focus will include developing the work with climate accounting, CSRD and the qualitative aspects of the sustainability agenda. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence the implementation of the updated sustainability strategy. Your key tasks and responsibilities in the job include:
Reporting to the Sustainability Director, you will join an expanding sustainability team working closely together on diverse projects across the ESG aspects of sustainability. JYSK is progressing with SBTi, working systematically with DMA and CSRD, and currently updating the sustainability strategy. In general, JYSK has an ambitious sustainability community with skilled colleagues motivated to develop this agenda with you. Furthermore, we offer you:

Key role in supporting the sustainability agenda
At JYSK the sustainability agenda is advancing quickly, and we are seeking a new colleague to play a vital role in taking the sustainability work to the next level. Your focus will include developing the work with climate accounting, CSRD and the qualitative aspects of the sustainability agenda. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence the implementation of the updated sustainability strategy. Your key tasks and responsibilities in the job include:
- Responsibility for decarbonisation roadmap and ongoing follow-up on progress, and driving selected projects to ensure that JYSK will reach SBTi targets
- Sparring partner on climate accounting and SBTi, specifically for Scope 3 (e.g. CAT 1, CAT 2, CAT 4 & CAT 12), including hands-on calculations
- Functional responsibility for environmental related data-points within ESRS to support JYSK’s CSRD reporting. Whilst also playing a broader role in ensuring the qualitative foundation for this reporting
- You will be the subject matter expert on the development of specific EU sustainability legislation areas, such as CSDDD, which you will also help implement

You are motivated to expand your toolbox and explore new sustainability areas relevant for JYSK’s future. We are looking for a new colleague who:
- Has hands-on experience with the GHG protocol, climate accounting and SBTi, and developing this agenda across the value chain. Experience with scope 3 data and analysis is a good prerequisite for this job
- Has concrete experience with implementation of decarbonisation initiatives and developing these together with skilled colleagues across the value chain
- Is familiar with the evolving EU sustainability legislation (e.g. CSRD, CSDDD, EU taxonomy etc.), and passionate about translating this into concrete actions
- Has experience in project and stakeholder management
- Is driven to get things done, handle necessary details and follow up on timelines and quality
- Takes initiative and builds relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
