JOIN OUR MARINE AND FOUNDATION ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT IN LYNGBY
COWI's Marine and Foundation Engineering business is a crucial contributor to COWI's strategic focus areas of complex infrastructure, green energy transition and water and climate adaptation. In this position you will guide a highly skilled and committed team working with projects for the future, such as the world's first energy island and the gigantic Lynetteholm development.
Our marine and geotechnical team deliver ports, terminals, land reclamation and coastal protection around the world. We also work with complex infrastructure projects such as the Fehmarnbelt Link connecting Denmark and Germany and Canakkale Bridge connecting Europe with Asia.
PASSION FOR DEVELOPING PEOPLE
Your main task will be to direct and develop the geotechnical section and contribute to COWIs complex infrastructure projects, green energy transition and climate adaption agenda. You will join our marine leadership team that sets the direction for our marine and geotechnical business within COWI International and report to the Vice President of Marine and Foundation Engineering.

- day-to-day people management with about 20 staff
- set clear targets for performance and development of your section's employees, including onboarding activities and individual development plans
- develop and execute on the department action plan
- ensure successful execution of projects
- deliver technical expertise and act as discipline lead on projects
- provide support and feedback to your staff

We expect that you:
- hold a degree in engineering accompanied by relevant experience in geotechnical and/or civil/engineering projects
- have solid experience within the field of geotechnical design (soil-structure interaction, foundation design, reclamation, and ground improvement)
- have insight into construction methods and contractor’s capabilities and restrictions
- experience working in all phases of a project and working with contractors
- customer relations experience and experience participating in technical meetings
- team- and project management skills experience
- excellent communication skills in English and knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages
