Do you want to bring more play and outdoor activities to the world? If you wish to enable our continued growth by driving an ambitious innovation agenda, you might be our new Head of Product Management.
Fortunately, the customers like our solutions. Therefore, we are looking for a Head of Product Management to join our Group Marketing at our Headquarter Odense, Denmark.
As the Head of Product Management, you will orchestrate an ambitious, focused and insights-driven innovation plan that cements KOMPAN’s position as a leading innovator within the outdoor play and fitness industry.
Hence, you will set a solid direction for the product management agenda whilst, importantly, empowering your team to deliver in their roles. You will lead by example as a "playing coach" and run your own innovation projects.
As a member of the marketing leadership team, you will take part in setting the strategic marketing direction of KOMPAN and motivating our global marketing team who each have their special skills and a strong teamwork ethic. You will report to our Chief Marketing Officer.
Further, your key tasks and responsibilities include:
You are experienced in product management and have been driving innovation plans as well as concept development.
You possess management experience and with your ambitiousness and solid ability to motivate people, you will create followership amongst team members and stakeholders.
You have been working with complex portfolio strategies and plans and are familiar with B2B product management but still with the end-user in mind.

Above all, you are proactive, have a strong drive, and a desire to create changes that impact and improve the entire business and make a difference by bringing more play and outdoor activities to the world!
You will become part of our Group Marketing, a department of more than 25 people, where we, in close collaboration with other teams, shape and execute KOMPANs marketing and product development agenda.
Your team, Product Management, within Group Marketing, consists of two Product Managers, one Assistant Product Manager and one Content & Marketing Service Manager. Your colleagues will be eager to collaborate with you!

We design, produce, and install more than 1,000 playground and fitness areas each month across 90 countries.
Our products and solutions are based on research conducted together with universities to develop play that stimulates children of different age groups and fitness that maximizes the fitness effect of grownup children. Our products have a strong Scandinavian design DNA and are based on the design of many designers and architects. We make sure that they will look great for decades and can stand the test of weather and daily usage by using material of the highest possible quality.

Empower your team while driving the development of new product concepts

Further, your key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Driving and leading the development of new product concepts based on trends as well as profound user and customer insights.
- Developing go-to-market strategies for selected high priority launches, incl. equipping sales with the right materials/tools and tactics.
- Portfolio strategy; portfolio effectiveness, white spot analysis, pruning - in collaboration with product managers.
- Being responsible for "product marketing" such as catalogues and brochures. Assess needs and tactics in collaboration with the team and market stakeholders.
- Ensuring market insights and competitor analysis.
- Ensuring that product data and data structure is usable for supporting systems.
A playing coach with an innovative mindset
You are experienced in product management and have been driving innovation plans as well as concept development.
You possess management experience and with your ambitiousness and solid ability to motivate people, you will create followership amongst team members and stakeholders.
You have been working with complex portfolio strategies and plans and are familiar with B2B product management but still with the end-user in mind.
Furthermore, you:
- Are insights-driven with the ability to crystalize facts, data, and research into opportunities and strong innovation briefs.
- Are an excellent facilitator with the ability to conduct training with many participants, including stakeholders from different organizational levels.
- Possess strong stakeholder management and leadership skills enabling you to build relationships, collaborate, empower others, and coach your team.
- Are fluent in English and Danish, both orally and in writing
