For our Service & Support team in our Land Power business area, we are looking for a skilled and committed Technical Support Engineer that can deliver high-quality service and support that exceeds our customers’ expectations.
The job and your responsibilities
Technical Support Engineers are the face of DEIF. Therefore, you must be able to communicate technical details clearly with customers and colleagues of varying technical knowledge, language and cultural backgrounds, in person as well as by phone and email. You will be part of a dynamic department, where solving complex problems and thinking creatively will set demands for your technical skills.
Your primary responsibilities will be to provide complimentary product support and engineering support as well as technical training for our customers, partners and sales organisation. You will also travel to customer sites to perform start-up, commissioning and operation training of DEIF’s control systems. Additionally, you will also test DEIF products from a user-perspective and provide customer documentation.
As a Technical Support Engineer, your tasks will include:
Expected travel activities: approximately 10-50 days per year.
Qualifications & abilities

For the position, we are looking for a candidate who is fluent in Danish and English in both writing and speech. A person who is independent, a self-starter and one who can change between tasks with minimum preparation. Someone, who enjoys being part of a team where enthusiasm and commitment is key, who possess an international mindset and who is task-oriented.

As a Technical Support Engineer, your tasks will include:
- Service visits in connection with commissioning, replacement of products and troubleshooting
- Support sales representatives/colleagues in the preparation of quotations and complex applications
- Technical support for products (Phone, Chat, Ticket, 24/7 service phone)
- Execute technical training for customers and DEIF employees and keep training materials updated
- Test of new/existing products and write technical documentation
- Convey market feedback on products and trends to Product Management

Qualifications & abilities

- Education: Marine Engineer, Automation Engineer or equivalent to
- Preferably 2-3 years relevant and practical experience from power generation and/or control industry
- Experienced IT-user
- Knowledge of utility interface standards
- Technical aptitude and the ability to follow technical instructions and convey complex technical concepts across diverse platforms
- Experience in electrical diagnosis and knowledge of engine operation, control and regulation techniques and PLC and HMI programming experience
- Able to communicate verbally to small or large audiences
