Your Responsibilities as an Senior Application Operations Consultant
You will be part of the entire application life cycle from bringing it into operation, maintaining it, providing consultancy services, and identifying and implementing improvements in collaboration with our customers.
Your main responsibility will be to provide consultancy services to our customers, deliver stable operation of business-critical applications and participate in application related projects..
Some services are delivered based on classic waterfall principles, others are based on agile and DevOps principles.
We work in accordance with the ITIL processes and GxP compliance. Due to regulatory requirements and business criticality of applications used in the Life Science and Financial industry you will be involved in documentation process, test and technical validation of the applications we operate.
You will join a team of highly dedicated colleagues
Our team consists of 40 people, 20 of them in Denmark. They are sharp professionals who believe in team spirit, are focused on achieving results, and ready to share knowledge across technologies and locations.
Our services are delivered 24x7 as a collaborative effort of our international team. Scheduled night duties and planned over time is part of our responsibilities.
Your Qualifications and Experience
You are a driven generalist when it comes to the technology stack of applications. You have a good basic understanding of operating systems, databases, and webservers. Maybe you have worked with software development at some point in your career. Experience with scripting and automation is a plus and something you will be able to make good use of.
The applications we provide services for are split 80/20 between Microsoft technologies and Unix/Linux/Open Source technologies. Ideally, you have a technical background in operation of applications that matches this. Maybe you have worked in a smaller it-department where you were involved in most of the applications and technologies, or maybe you have worked as a generalist in a larger company.
You are adaptable and a quick learner and you enjoy being introduced to new technologies and deep diving into some of them.
You’re a team player and you are energized by responsibility and ownership, both personally and for the team. You have an eye for spotting potential improvements and making your mark on projects you are involved with in close collaboration with our customers.
You understand the importance of following processes and good documentation practices. The ability to work in compliance with quality assurance processes and maintaining detailed documentation is built into your DNA. You are fluent in English both verbal and written and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders/third-party vendors is important to you.
