Do you have experience as a Project Director in an international context, and do you possess a combination of technical expertise and commercial understanding within project development? Do you want to be part of a new growing business area focusing on bioethanol, electrolysis/Power2X, or pyrolysis? And can you see yourself as part of a fast-growing European actor within development of renewable infrastructure projects? Then we have the perfect job for you as Project Director in the green transition team either working from the offices in Aarhus or Copenhagen. Reporting to Head of Green Transition, you will be part of a small team with great colleagues and a clear growth strategy.
Managing complex projects, customers, and stakeholders
Your primary responsibility will be to manage the development of complex green transition projects focusing on for example bioethanol, electrolysis/Power2X, or pyrolysis. You will be in frequent contact with clients to stay abreast of their needs, and you will work together with the customer throughout the whole process – from the development phase to final project execution. It will be part of your responsibility to develop and define project models and identify different technology and site opportunities. Your success depends on your ability to develop and manage complex and long-term projects without losing focus while maintaining a close collaboration with the involved stakeholders. Other responsibilities will include:
Being responsible for the development of green transition projects, you will have a very independent and challenging job in an international environment within a high-profile industry that is constantly growing. You should expect 20-40 travel days per year.
Flexible and structured project manager with excellent communication skills
You probably have a technical background as an engineer or similar. Furthermore, you have experience from a similar position in an international context – preferably with knowledge of bioethanol, electrolysis/Power2X, pyrolysis, or energy optimization in general. Coupled with your technical understanding, you must be commercially aware and experienced in stakeholder management and project development. You have a structured, hands-on, and flexible approach to your work and can juggle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing track of time and quality. Furthermore, you understand how to motivate and engage the different stakeholders, and you are described as a person, who are trustworthy and approachable. Finally, you are highly proficient in written and spoken English.

- Project development management from A to Z (from preparations and kick-off to evaluation)
- When finding and securing a location for the project, you will cooperate closely with the authorities in terms of environmental issues, Environment Impact Assessment (EIA), building permission, etc.
- Identifying correct technology or a supplier who can deliver the technology
- Preparing business cases in terms of getting the financial overview of the project
- Preparing, coordinating, and maintaining project documentation
- Performance monitoring and follow-up; progress reporting to clients
- Cost control and budget follow-up
- Involved in contract negotiations
