Infomedia is monitoring global news across all media channels. It is key for companies and organizations to be at the forefront of daily news to mitigate risks and to analyse trends within industries and across global agendas. As Country Manager, you will take on a market and sales-oriented role, working with all aspects of management and with responsibility for the top and bottom lines. With autonomous P/L commitment, you will collaborate closely with specialist teams across the countries and, together with the Group CEO, Group CFO, and the rest of the Nordic Management Team, build a sustainable and ambitious strategy for Finland.

This is a unique opportunity to set up your own team. You will be the first hire in Finland and quickly recruit various specialist resources. Across the Nordics, highly skilled colleagues are ready to support you and will regularly join you and your team in customer pitches and operational deliveries.

You will report directly to the Group CEO, be part of the Nordic Management Team, and eventually head an organisation with 8-12 FTEs in 1-2 years. You will work out of Infomedia’s office in central Helsinki.

Build a sustainable and long-term business and organization in Finland

As Country Manager, you will play an essential role in engaging and guiding a solid and ambitious team. The Finnish team will have a vast number of interdependencies within the Group, ranging from Group functions in Denmark and Norway to Production, Customer Care, and Product Development.

The strategic impact of the role will be to develop Finland for Infomedia to deliver on the growth strategy. Also, together with the Nordic Management Team, the Country Manager will develop the Nordic growth strategy and play a vital role in the business development within media monitoring, media analysis, and communication insight services for PR/Communication Directors and Management teams. Other tasks include:

  • develop a 2-year business plan and budget in collaboration with Group CEO
  • have P&L responsibility and manage financial reporting and forecasting
  • establish relationships with existing customer portfolios and develop account plans, along with business development and generation of new business
  • take part in market communication and branding activities supported by Marketing
  • build relationships with media in Finland and help get new media deals (with support from Media Management in Infomedia)
  • adapt and implement Infomedia methodologies, tools, and management principles
  • build, develop and lead a market-driven and change-oriented team

Sales leadership profile with a background in Tech, Media, or Analytics

As an ideal candidate, we believe that you are an experienced, ambitious market and sales-oriented executive who can build and lead knowledge teams while having a hands-on approach to the market. You possess distinctive interpersonal skills and are a strong networker who knows how to stay ahead of the competition and facilitate growth for your team and Infomedia. As a leader, you are empathetic and positive, always striving to help and guide teams in the best possible way. Hence, you know how to drive engagement and enthusiasm among your people and management colleagues.

We know we are asking for a lot, but you are also offered a unique and once-in-a-lifetime role where you can build, head, and “own” your own business, but with solid support and resources to ensure that you will be a success. Professionally, we are looking for the following:

  • relevant degree in commercial studies, preferably with some financial qualifications, combined with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience as, e.g., Sales Manager or Head of Sales
  • a background in SaaS B2B, preferably combined with experience from the Media Intelligence industry, selling technology, data, and content solutions – in other words, solution selling of the highest calibre
  • strong commercial orientation and a team player, preferably with some experience from management consulting, analysis, or business intelligence companies
  • curious by nature and on top of the news and acknowledging the importance and impact of PR/Communication – with an understanding of the rising opportunities of technology to monitor and analyse global media content
  • fluency in Finnish and English (written and spoken)
  • superuser or high proficiency level in MS Office, CRM systems, and BI tools
