Head of Nuuday Data Office – Copenhagen
To a newly established role that is crucial in today’s data-driven business landscape, where Nuuday generates and handles a vast and ever-growing amount of data, we are hiring for a key leadership position as Head of Data Office. The role is integral in shaping Nuuday’s data landscape, supporting innovation, and ensuring the responsible use of data assets to achieve strategic goals.
With direct report to the CFO and as part of the CFO management team, you will in the role as Head of Data Office be centrally placed to drive and execute the strategic decisions about level of data governance and management. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Nuuday’s Technology organization in developing the right systems and tools to support data management.
Nuuday is in the midst of a business and technology transformation, and where you and your team’s contributions are integral to ensure successful data management, and in this, you will engage with the Head of CX & Business Transformation as well as the rest of the organization.
The Job
As Head of Data Office, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the data value strategy across Nuuday. This involves ensuring effective management, analysis, and utilization of data assets to enable business stakeholders to generate value from data, and e.g., enhance operational efficiency, support strategic initiatives, drive automation. You will focus on the business aspects of data and enable Nuuday to become an insight driven organisation utilising its data assets in an efficient way, and where you will facilitate the backlog on data asset development together with business stakeholders.
In short, you will have an important role in shaping the data landscape, supporting innovation, and ensuring the responsible use of data assets to achieve strategic goals. Some of your responsibilities when it comes to data value strategy development and data governance are:
The Profile
As Head of Data Office, we expect you to have sufficient years’ experience in data management and governance from a comparable role, and with exposure to people management. You most likely come from an industry that operates with ‘fit for purpose’ when it comes to data governance and compliance, and where you have experience from managing high volumes of data and understand the complexity and value of data. When it comes to data, you are used to deal with architects and operations about how data is interpreted and managed.
As a person and as a leader, you are a strongly motivated and driven individual, with a strong track record of making an impact in data management and governance. You are commercially savvy and recognise the critical importance of how Nuuday gathers, manages, and uses information to win customers and drive business.
Furthermore, you are an inquisitive profile that dares to ask questions, challenge existing mindsets as well as balancing business needs with guidelines and governance. In your stakeholder management, you excel with advanced communication and strong interpersonal skills that enables you to collaborate with various stakeholders on executive and senior leadership level.

- Formulate and implement a comprehensive data value strategy aligned with the Nuuday’s overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to enable domain owners to identify opportunities for leveraging data and gain a competitive advantage.
- Accountable for strategic artefacts incl. a data domain map, global data glossary and data value heat map and respective processes to maintain them.
- Establish tools, policies, and processes to improve data quality, accessibility, collection, and documentation.
- Build a data domain map that allows everyone to discover what data exists and support data democratization.
- Drive a shared data mindset across use cases. Facilitate governance with data domain owners and a network of data stewards within various business functions.
- Facilitate a data council with members of the Executive Leadership Team.
