Following the acquisition of Cimbria, AGCO is looking to upgrade the sales organisation within the Grain and Protein segment. One objective is activating the inherent potential and gaining market share in Ukraine where AGCO is present through both the GSI and Cimbria brands. Ukraine is a strategic market to AGCO and there is an intense desire to kick-start the existing organisation. You become part of a newly defined European sales organisation and will report directly to the Regional Sales Director. Managing your own sales cluster team, you get to play a key role in strategically consolidating Cimbria into AGCO.
Develop and retain relationships with customers
As responsible for sales and management of the sales cluster in Ukraine you shall drive the strategic direction set within the defined geographic area. In addition, you lead a team of regional direct/indirect Sales Managers and pre-sales specialists with the main purpose to develop and retain relationships with customers as well as filling and expanding the project sales pipeline. Finally, you are given responsibility for P/L, budget planning and forecast of sales within the area.
Your primary tasks are:
To succeed in the job, getting the project-pipeline on track is of highest priority; this also means sorting out opportunities for export credit and financing. Furthermore, you address future cooperation with dealers and resellers as well as develop a strong go to market structure.
Good understanding of cross-cultural differences
Your educational background is a bachelor’s or master’s degree within the field of mechanical or process engineering. Alternatively, you have extensive experience within the processing industry. At least 8-10 years of experience in sales of complex machinery and process equipment is required as well as at least 2 years in a management role. It will be a definite advantage with experience from either grain, seed, feed or food, and know-how about customers and processes in the processing industry.
As a person you are ambitious within sales management and have strong abilities to develop and sustain strong customer relationships and ensure good cooperation towards internal partners e.g. KAM roles and Solution Delivery. You have a good understanding of cross-cultural differences especially between head office and cluster and know how to act in a large organisation.
You are capable of analysing and acting upon customer development opportunities and recommendations to support strategic growth initiatives including: Forecasting, Sales Funnel Management, defining KPI’s where required in collaboration with Sales Director, and follow-up on the performance as well as making sure that customer focus is not lost cross-functionally. Your colleagues describe you as quality minded towards customers and internal partners and always with an open and honest nature. You seek results in both short and long term, provide space for others, and take responsibility when needed. You have the strength to go into detail without losing the bigger picture and make thoughtful decisions in a pragmatic approach.
Direct influence on strategy and execution
You become part of a positive change in powering Cimbria to a higher level and you are given a high degree of independence in finding the means to meet the goals as well as in defining your own team. Your efforts will have direct influence on strategy and execution as you play a key role in a company, which is investing in both R&D and improving sales preconditions. Finally, being part of a global business, opportunities arise as you take part in improving AGCO’s market position as well as the organisation. For the right candidate, expatriation in Kiev can be an option.

- Develop Cimbria G&P project and product sales through establishing, developing and retaining direct customer relations
- Manage, develop, and build the regional sales team
- Manage, plan, and execute sales activities, identify potential direct sales opportunities and drive quotations together with team of Sales Managers
- Investigate and analyze customer and market trends
- Engage the sales support team and align with commercial excellence to develop aftersales business with direct customers
- Ensure competitive pricing in alignment with strategic marketing, manufacturing, and product management
- Work with Marketing Department on campaigns/new product release
- Establish performance tracking and management of the regional sales team
- Develop collaboration and hand-over processes from Sales to Solution Delivery
