On behalf of Albis Shipping & Transport GmbH, Randstad is looking for an experienced and ambitious Director and Head of Tanker Chartering to manage the Tanker Vessel department located at the headquarter in Hamburg. You will have the overall responsibility for the dedicated tanker chartering team while expanding the business and performing tanker chartering independently.

You will be offered an influential and central role in a modern and expanding organization with direct reference to the Managing Director. The role offers both commercial and leadership responsibilities as well as an opportunity to influence the expansion of Albis Shipping & Transport GmbH. You will be responsible for a team of 8 experienced and passionate employees, a team which is expected to grow according to the overall strategy of the organization.
In this role, you will strive to exceed expectations and optimize performance through dedicated work ethics and solid leadership skills.
Key responsibilities involve:
- Performing tanker chartering and ensuring high performance as well as acquiring clients
- Leading the tanker chartering team of 8 employees involving making sure that the junior employees get proper supervision while working closely with partners with several years of experience
- Keep an overview of the market and the activities of the team
- Adhering to the compliance policy of Albis Shipping & Transport GmbH in the current volatile geopolitical climate
You will be offered a competitive package and an opportunity to relocate to Hamburg.
- Min. 8 years of experience within the shipping industry
- Expertise in either handy, MR, LR1/2, Aframax or suezmax segments
- Knowledge and expertise in the East of Suez Market, either in spot or period business preferred
- Experience with leadership from a competitive ship broking company preferred
- Can navigate easily between individual business and team development while maintaining the overview
As a person, you are a socially competent leader who has a natural drive and motivation for guiding your high-performing team in the right direction by a trustworthy approach. You have strong interpersonal competencies and are able to build solid relations with customers and partners.
