For Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) we are looking for a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to cover the areas of planning and execution of construction and commissioning activities, who is eager to play an important part in a dynamic and multi-cultural organisation within the renewable energy industry. You will be based at one of our offices in Vejle (DK), Hamburg (DE) or Frimley (UK), however we are also expanding into new markets such as the US, Taiwan and France. The role will require some travel, for example between different office locations and sites including offshore visits - we will expect you to plan to be where you need to be.

How to contribute to our vision

As a Construction Project Manager you will – in terms of project management - be responsible for planning and overseeing the construction and commissioning activities associated with SGRE’s contracted scope of works and have budget responsibility for Pre-assembly, Offshore Installation and Commissioning including Manning, Cranes, Vessels, Tools and Spares etc. in accordance with relevant processes and procedures. In the project organisation you will report to the Project Director / Senior Project Manager and Commercial PM. You will also undertake management of client interface regarding Pre-Assembly, Installation and Commissioning activities

Other key parts of the role will be to align standardised installation and commissioning concepts to project contractual requirements and strategy in cooperation with Project Director / Senior Project Manager and support the Project Director / Senior Project Manager in the overall management of Risk & Opportunities and Claim Management.

You will also be responsible for the coordination and control of the planning and execution of the preassembly resources, cranes, installation vessel(s), ports, site set up, manpower, tools, equipment, transfer / accommodation / DP2 vessels and all associated activities in co-operation with the relevant departments and groups as well as for for creating and updating the Construction Execution Plan. You will also be budgeting, time scheduling and detailed planning of activities in line with Pre-assembly, Installation and Commissioning activities.

You will functionally lead and manage (within the project environment) supporting groups / sub-team members, initiate and coordinate relevant activities and tasks within supporting groups, including your Construction team setup as well as conduct own work in compliance with internal Siemens Gamesa standards e.g. in regards to HSE, Quality, processes etc. You will facilitate sub supplier selection within role scope and coordinate contract management of sub-suppliers.

What you need to make a difference

You have a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

The ideal candidate possess strong Project Management skills and experience in budget control and financial reporting as well as a proven experience in complex construction projects - preferably for the offshore industry.

You will be comfortable working in an international, multi-cultural team and capable of working effectively across department boundaries in a large organization.

Overall you possess excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills in English, both written and verbally.
