Global Construction Global Tools Supervisor Shipping & Calibration Warehouse Tools Region, EMEA.

The Global Construction department is where new installation and Balance of Plant product ideas and technologies are identified, co-developed and matured for testing and implementation in the value chain. We work closely together with our development and global procurement functions as well as our strategic suppliers.

In Global Tools we are responsible for the usage, delivery and support on tools for our turbines around the world. You will be part of a sub-department that gives technical support to the sites and projects located in the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) as well as Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

You will be part of a large team consisting of many different profiles ranging from procurement, to warehouse, production, in- and outbound, Pick and Pack, to logistics as well as technical engineering. The team is international, since we in our region alone are placed at four locations: In Videbæk (Denmark), in Husum, Mutzschen (Germany), Zaragoza (Spain), and Warrington (England).

Responsibilities

As a Supervisor Shipping & Calibration in our department, you will be responsible for the daily operations leading the team of Material Handlers in the Warehouse Tools Region, EMEA in Videbæk (a total of approx. 32 employees). An important part of your responsibility will be to optimise processes and workflows. Below are typical, but not limited to, daily work tasks as a Supervisor in Vestas:

  • Create/sustain a good working environment
  • Create KPI's to improve daily work and processes
  • Adapt the workforce to the work tasks
  • One-to-ones with the employees in the team
  • Make sure that the employees have the right training
  • Planning of daily activities
  • Budgeting
  • Optimise the workflow within logistic handling

Qualifications

A great candidate for this will probably have at least 5 years of experience as a Supervisor, including experience with turn arounds. Your education is not essential, but experience and human insight is important.

We prefer that you have:

  • Technical insight/understanding
  • Been working with projects
  • Experience in related IT system within the area of employment: a demonstrated proficiency in the following software: SAP (PE01) or equivalent ERP Software, SAP Document Management System (DMS), Engineering Change Management (ECM), Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in English and Danish to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with LEAN
  • Experience with (or as) Health, Safety & Environment (Officer)
