The Division of Cell and Gene Therapy of the Center for Translational Neuromedicine (CTN) is looking for a highly motivated academic research staff to support the group. The successful candidate must have prior experience as well as a strong interest in the field of neuroscience.

Our research team

The Center for Translational Neuromedicine is part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, and is located in the Panum Institute. For more information, visit https://ctn.ku.dk/.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team engaged in translational stem cell research. Our efforts are focused on understanding the role of glia in several neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders (Huntington’s disease, schizophrenia, ALS-FTD and the childhood leukodystrophies). In particular, we are interested in defining the differences in the dynamic regulation of genes and signaling pathways in glial cells, as a way to identify novel therapeutic targets and to develop cell-based therapy strategies for the treatment of some of these disorders.

In general, the Center is highly international, and thus our common language, both scientifically and socially, is English. The Center is characterized by being highly ambitious, fast-paced and hard-working research unit. Our group has a strong collaboration with our sister lab in the US.
