Background
Supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen is going to establish a top-quality service facility for mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics - The Proteome Research Infrastructure (PRI).

The PRI will offer easy and timely access to newest proteomics technologies and will disseminate knowledge and innovations to the local research and industry communities, press release about the PRI.

The aim of the PRI is to meet current and future needs of the scientific community for cutting-edge proteomics analysis in the Copenhagen area and beyond and to bestow a major scientific impact for life sciences research in the region.

The PRI is located at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, located in central Copenhagen and closely associated with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR).

To support the administrative activities in the PRI, we are searching for a qualified Administrative Coordinator. The environment in the PRI will be vibrant, ambitious, and international with many different nationalities represented. The working language is English.

Job description
We are recruiting an organized, structured, and highly motivated person for an administrative coordinator position. The position will cover a variety of administrative tasks and therefore, we are not looking for a specialist for the below mentioned tasks, but an open-minded generalist:

  • In collaboration with the Finance department issue invoices and being the bridging part between the customers and the Finance department.
  • Support the director with reporting to the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
  • Public representation of the PRI including press releases and social media presence (in collaboration with the Communication department).
  • Personal assistance to the PRI director (administration of calendar, meeting and travelling activities as well as organization of meetings).
  • Coordination of activities within the PRI (e.g. organizing training courses and symposia)
  • Other administrative tasks related to the PRI.
  • Collaborations with the administrative departments at the central university level (Finance Department, HR, Communications, IT).

Qualifications
In close collaboration with the director, the administrative coordinator must provide structure with the administrative activities in the PRI and keeping an overview of the tasks and an ability to work independently.
Further qualifications include:

  • Holds a Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with administration in the public sector will be an advantage.
  • Open and positive personality and team player.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, strong attention to details and excellent time management skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Danish.

Terms of salary and employment
The employment will be as an Academic officer or a Senior consultant.
The employment and salary conditions are in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations). The salary level will be determined based on seniority according to the AC agreement. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.

The position is for 5 years and the working hours are 37 hours per week.

The expected start date is 1 June 2020.
