The Office of Research and Innovation at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND), University of Copenhagen, is looking to recruit a Program Manager for a fixed term of 40 months. SUND recently joined a partnership called School of Health Innovation (SHI), which is partly financed by The Novo Nordisk Foundation. The Program Manager will take a leading role in securing the successful implementation, development, planning and execution of courses, and represent SUND in the partnership.

The Office of Research and Innovation is a well-functioning and productive unit with 35 employees. The position is based in the research support section, which currently employs 14 people, five of whom work with innovation.We value being known for being service-oriented, competent and efficient.
The School of Health Innovation is a new initiative between four equal partners: Karolinska Institute, University of Oslo and Norway’s Technical University (NTNU) and SUND. SHI’s mission is to provide academic researchers with tools, knowledge and networks in order to enable them to utilize their discoveries and help them generate impact from their research. The school consists of a three-stage course system within innovation and entrepreneurship and is open for PhD students, researchers and clinicians in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The SHI program manager will be a part of SUNDs innovation team.

Salary and terms of employment
The terms of appointment and payment are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations and the Danish Ministry of Finance. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
The position is full time and is expected to be filled at the level of academic officer (fuldmægtig). The position includes some travel activities. This is a fixed term position for forty months.
Commencement on August 1, 2020 or as soon as possible.

Your tasks
- Ensure the successful implementation of the SHI at the faculty, and in Denmark, through liaising with faculty management, Heads of Department, academic staff and external actors.
- Together with other program managers, develop, organize and coordinate courses and course activities related to the SHI.
- Contribute to the other innovation activities at SUND.
- Monitor grant opportunities and edit the innovation website, newsletters and other communication tasks related to the program.
- Ongoing ad hoc tasks.
Key skills and competences
- A solid background within program/project management, preferably within life science/health and/or innovation.
- Knowledge about innovation or business development within life science/health is a plus.
- Good coordination, planning and organizational skills with the ability to develop, plan, and implement goals to meet tight deadlines under time pressure.
- Ability to handle many short- and long term tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to write in a clear, concise and engaging way for a variety of target audiences with a high level of accuracy in English (Danish is a plus).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues on all levels within and outside the organization.
