Modelling & Predictive Technologies / Structure, Bioinformatics and Data Science / Global Research Technologies / Denmark / Måløv

Are you a passionate scientist with a strong interest in computational protein design and leveraging data into new insights and actionable results? Do you love translating your ideas into code and have a deep curiosity for modelling and data science technologies? Would you enjoy having impact on the way how medicines will be discovered in the future? Then join the ‘Modelling & Predictive Technologies’ Department at Novo Nordisk A/S as our next highly valued Post Doc.

About the Department & the Position

At Novo Nordisk you will work in the Modelling & Predictive Technologies Department, a part of the Structure, Bioinformatics and Data Science area. The department collaborates closely with a number of research scientists across the R&D area to improve and accelerate active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and drug product (DP) designs of new peptides and biologics. We have access to advanced state-of-the-art protein modelling software, such as Rosetta, Maestro and MOE, and are developing and applying data analysis tools and prediction models to a variety of biological and chemical data to support prescriptive decision making in the API design projects.

Your responsibility will be to develop novel computational protein design tools by leveraging the wealth of public and in-house data and modern modelling and data science methodologies. For instance, we expect you to drive the development of novel protein design approaches and workflows, including the use of modern data science and machine learning approaches.

An important part of the job is also to communicate and discuss the results with stakeholders across the interdisciplinary and international organization. You will also have the opportunity to take part in the alignment of the developed technologies and workflows with an ambitious in-house automation project. Publications of the methodology and case stories in high-impact journals are highly encouraged.

The position is for a duration of 2-years.
