The Research Unit Clinical Biomechanics, Department of Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, SDU, invites applications for a position as assistant professor in clinical biomechanics to be filled as soon as possible and until 30 June 2023 (60% time). The duties of the assistant professorship include research, education, administrative and management tasks.
The Research unit Clinical Biomechanics carries out research and teaching with focus on musculoskeletal disease, pain, and disability. The research focus of the Research Unit is on clinical research and implementation of evidence in primary care.
The applicant is expected to demonstrate documented research experience within the scientific field of musculoskeletal pain with emphasis on biomechanical function. Research activities should preferably comprise both basic mechanistic and applied studies. It is expected that the applicant has experience with research activity in relation to modeling of biomechanical function and motion capture systems.
Applicants should have a completed PhD degree and be able to show documented research work that complies with the research profile described above and it will be expected that the new assistant professor develops her/his research area in these research areas.
The position involves lecturing in study programs at the Faculty of Health Science and the Technical Faculty at the Bachelor, Master and PhD levels.

The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

• a teaching portfolio detailing the candidate’s prior teaching experience, teaching skills, and teaching philosophy
• a research plan detailing the candidate’s ideas and plans for her/his future research work.
