Applications are invited for a three-year position as assistant professor in business-to-business marketing and social media at the Department of Entrepreneurship and Relationship Management, University of Southern Denmark in Sønderborg. The position is available from January 1st or as soon as possible thereafter.
The applicant should have research experience in business-to-business marketing or a closely related area of research (in the form of a PhD or published research in the area of research) and be able to contribute with new ideas in the field of business-to-business marketing and digitalization in business relationships. Research experience and interest within social media, IoT and effects of digitalization within business-to-business relations is considered a strength. The Department of Entrepreneurship and Relationship Management (IER) is a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment, where the abilities to form relationships and work within teams are a historical and fundamental part of the department culture. The department have activities in Kolding and Sønderborg with approx. 50 employees engaged in research and teaching in the fields of entrepreneurship, B2B marketing, supply chain management and business networks, and organizational studies.
Within the department, the assistant professors will be affiliated with the business-to-business marketing and supply chain management research group. The business-to-business marketing research has focus on strategizing, innovation and relationship management and development within dyads, clusters and networks. The research focus in the supply chain area is on supply chain innovation and globalization strategies within production and administrative processes. The applicant is expected to show past experience within business-to-business marketing research or a closely related area and a promising research portfolio. A candidate that can do interdisciplinary work and who can also integrate into one or more of the other themes of the group is preferred. A candidate that is familiar with the department’s tradition of practice-based research and close collaboration with industry and public institutions is considered a strong candidate.
Teaching experience within marketing and management is not a must but some teaching experience is preferred.
The teaching responsibilities of the position relate to the Business Administration programs in Sønderborg.
The assistant professorship is a 3-year temporary position.

Appointment to the position requires a PhD or equivalent and will be in accordance with the salary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.

Applications that are incomplete with regard to the above requirements will not be assessed by the committee.
Shortlisting and tests may be used in the assessment process.
If the successful candidates are not fluent in Danish, (s)he will be expected to learn Danish within a period of three years. Within this timeframe applicants are expected to master Danish at a level which enables them to correct Danish exam papers and read administrative documents.
