Senior Architect - SAP Bank & Cash

As SAP Functional Architect, you will be a key driver in building our digital core global platform.

Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions footprint and as part of new strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for company’s finance processes enabled by SAP’s latest cloud and S4HANA offerings. Maersk has currently ECC based SAP finance solutions running for Ocean and logistics divisions and plan is to subsume these solutions within revamped green field S4HANA implementations. SAP engineering team owns solution template, design and drives the SAP solution roadmap within Transport & Logistics.

Key responsibilities

Listed below are some of the key responsibilities of this role. However, we work in an Agile environment and this is a superb opportunity for you to carve this role for yourself:

· Responsible for Solution design for the SAP Finance Cash & Bank solution across Maersk business units

· Work in an agile team with Finance Cash & Bank product owners, SAP developers/engineers and scrum master in executing on prioritized backlog

· Ensuring no architecture bottlenecks impacting delivery of solution

· Quality assurance of the solution from design to delivery

· Compliance to Enterprise architecture guidelines and product roadmap

· Hands on solution design for the Cash & bank products payment & bank communication, treasury management, AP, AR, FI_CA

· Managing the Product backlog, including prioritization of needs, creation of backlog items and mapping out dependencies in collaboration with users and customers

· Work closely with development teams in Agile way of working; contribute to the planning, execution and review of each sprint and work with the team to refine and improve the development process.

· Evaluating product progress accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product. Inspect and evaluate product progress at each iteration, determine whether final product is acceptable. Performance of product in general, includes example value delivery, user satisfaction, performance of the support process, compliance, cost, stability of the product and deployment/roll-out performance.

· To be successful, you need to perform stakeholder management related to your product(s)

We are looking for

· Experience working as SAP Finance Cash & Bank functional architect with large scale SAP transformation program environments

* SAP Bank Communication Management (BCM)

* Payment Format Configuration (DMEE/DMEEX)

* SAP In House Cash

· At least 10 years’ experience in SAP as Cash & Bank architect.

· Experience working as SAP FICO functional architect with hands on experience with

· SAP baseline FI modules (GL, AR, AP) and, more importantly, have experience in SAP's FI-Banking, Inhouse bank and Cash Management modules

· Very strong understanding/knowledge of 'payment processes' (i.e. understand banking terminology - payment types, SWIFT channels, PSRs, etc.)

· Very strong understanding of payment processes in the P2P work-stream and the receipting/cash processes in the O2C work-stream

· As a baseline, has experience working in the FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR and has knowledge of the integration between MM, SD, CO, etc.

· Has extensive knowledge of SAP's Automatic Payment configuration and SAP's payment processes

· Has extensive experience in unit and integration testing of payment files internally and externally with a bank partner; Regression testing will be required; You must be able to manage go lives of new payment files

· Has experience working with SAP's Electronic Bank Statement configuration and understands bank statement processing and post processing in SAP

· Experience working with SAP's Bank Communication Management Module

· Experience with SAP's check (cheque) functionality and processes; Cheque testing using dedicated cheque printer and with the banking partner

· In depth domain knowledge in the Accounting to Reporting (ATR) area.

· Experience in implementing large and complex SAP Projects, and designing architecture to meet business requirements.

· Experience in working with business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design

· Experience in developing SAP roadmap for Finance Line of business

· Experience with S4HANA implementation is must

· Certification in SAP FI/CO or FICA preferred

· Proven experience with managing complex stakeholders and ability to influence without authority
