Finance Global IT Vestas Solutions Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Global IT is responsible for IT within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. With reference to the Group CFO, Global IT covers all areas from IT strategy, business engagement and capturing to project implementations, infrastructure operations, service integration between vendors and end-user support.
This position is in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. We are a team of highly skilled IT Architects. We engage with business stakeholders to ensure that IT services are appropriately designed, developed and optimised across their lifecycle.
We are as a team responsible for Vestas use of SAP PLM/ MM/ CA and are as such both supporting and are quality gate keepers for entire Vestas related to those. We are therefore accountable for associated roadmaps and are involved in related projects supporting primarily Vestas Solution (R&D) but also across Vestas.
Team consists of 6 employees in DK and UK supported by 22 external solution architects from all over the world.
Responsibilities
You will create target architectures and solutions within the PLM domain to be carried out by solution architects and developers, internals as externals. Moreover, you will be a trusted advisor when qualifying the business functional IT requirements ensuring a Vestas holistic view.
As a PLM Architect, you are the leader in these primary areas:
Large projects in setting the stage and direction for both the solution and the solution architects who will deliver on this
Collaboration with and understand of the business, being able to put yourself in their place and match it up against the IT architecture we have - seeing solution options rather than limitations
Essential PLM products, including roadmap, updates / maintenance, and not least support setup
Qualifications
This role is highly relevant for you with SAP and PLM experience, even more if you have worked towards Engineering, Manufacturing, or Service. Furthermore, you probably have:
A Master's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Engineering, alternatively experience which provide similar knowledge level
Experience working with IT roadmaps and IT architecture design
Proven history of designing and implementing end2end IT solutions
Great communication skills and fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
Competencies
You have knowledge and understanding of PLM processes such as product and module development, product engineering, document management and engineering change management
You have experience with customizing and implementing the ERP environment supporting the above processes (primarily MS and SAP environment but not exclusively)
You should possess a solid understanding of business process mapping and business process management
Finally, it is essential that you are motivated and a self-starter. You should be motivated by working in teams which consist of colleagues from different business units
