We are looking for a skilled Integration Architect to enable the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of developing the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape.
Global IT is launching a new initiative to create the necessary core IT capabilities within infrastructure, integrations, data management, and platforms that will enable the digitalisation and future growth of our business. Throughout 2020 we will be recruiting different profiles for this initiative. This is our first wave of hiring so the people we bring on board now will have a unique chance to put their footprint on the programme.

The department
The position is based in Finance, Business Services & Cross IT (FBCIT) - an area with 330+ diverse and highly skilled employees working in Denmark, India, and the United States. We provide world-class projects and support for critical IT systems and services across the Novo Nordisk value chain.
We are transforming our way of working by rapidly adopting the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and have launched the first Agile Release Train in Novo Nordisk to achieve business agility. Our vision is to be the best digitalisation partner for our colleagues in the line of business by enabling intuitive user experience and providing continuous business value.
The position
Digitalisation is on top of the agenda in Novo Nordisk and as our new Integration Architect you will play a key role in defining and implementing our Integration and API strategy, in close collaboration with the rest of the integration tiger team.
Novo Nordisk has a hybrid IT landscape - with a broad mix of SaaS, PaaS, on-prem standard and homegrown systems - while building our new digital enablement layer on top of AWS, Azure and a few other critical SaaS/PaaS providers.
We aspire to create an integration centre for enablement - empowering any developer in Novo Nordisk to contribute with new APIs or use the APIs already developed by others, while adhering to our integration principles that we define together with our Enterprise Architecture function.
As an integration architect you will work with:
• Define the Novo Nordisk way of working with and governing of APIs
• Communicate value of APIs and integration principles to stakeholders on different levels in the organisation
• Work closely together with developers in SCRUM teams to ensure smooth on-boarding and usage of the API management offering
• Work closely with Solution Architect to design API layers, data model and API specifications
The position is in Bagsværd, Denmark; however, your daily workplace can take you almost anywhere in the world according to the project you are working on.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an Integration architect with hands-on experience on executing an API strategy successfully.
You have a master’s degree within the field of Computer Science or Software Development or other related fields followed by 5-10 years of hands-on experience as integration architect.
As an Integration architect we expect you to be able to deep dive into technical challenges and come up with solutions that adhere to our overall Integration principles. You need to communicate with stakeholders on different levels of the organisation - and sometimes draw a line in the sand. The platform has not yet been selected - but besides working with an infrastructure agnostic IPaaS and API gateway, knowledge about SAP, AWS, Azure, SalesForce or ServiceNow is considered a plus.
You probably have solid experience in:
- API management
- REST based API development
- Micro-services architecture and APIs
- Security and Authentication
- 3 Layer API methodology
Platforms & processes we will work with:
- CI/CD Pipelines using Azure DevOps
- SCRUM method supported by Azure DevOps
- Automated unit testing
