This is an extremely exciting time to join a growing and dynamic team that solves some of the toughest problems in the industry and builds the future of trade & logistics. Maersk’s Technology organisation offers a unique opportunity to impact global trade via the largest container shipping company in the world.
Platform portfolio 3 contains three platforms focused around an SAP core. Unlike platforms based upon microservice technology they cannot operate independently of each other and need to be co-ordinated. In addition, Portfolio 3 is currently based around a project model and almost completely outsourced. The Portfolio needs to transition to an internally sourced agile model in which these integrated platforms fit within a broader microservices and bespoke environment.
Over the coming years the portfolio will build and deploy a an S4/HANA implementation of Finance and Transportation Management modules as well as a wide range of other SAP technologies and web services.

Maersk is transforming its existing SAP finance estate and Tax is key component of the new platform.
We are looking for someone with the architectural vision and technical skill to make this new TAX implementations a reference case for how a modern SAP HANA solution can deliver business value at pace and scale.
• Drive the solution architecture to achieve the desired business outcomes.
• Ensure the development pipeline is effective with high levels of automation enabling a rapid roll out across our extensive global businesses.
• Chair the design authorities within the delivery platforms ensuring effective fact based decision making across complex multi-dimensional problems.
• Work architects, engineering team within the delivery platforms to develop and align overall corporate architectural framework.
• Deep technical knowledge of SAP systems (essential) and cloud native API/Microservices and event based systems.
• Experience in S/4 HANA global implementations and in Transportation Management System implementation/roll outs
• Strong influencing and communication skills enabling them to work at an executive level turning strategic intent into implementable change that creates lasting value for us and our customers.
• Hands on, sleeves rolled up attitude to architecture with the personal technical credibility to lead complex design discussions
• Experience of large scale systems transformation, organization change, agile, platforms and software Engineering
• Supply chain/retail/transportation background enabling them to engage at a highly detailed level in functional design decisions
• Highly collaborative, able to build relationships within and beyond the SAP team to achieve consensus on complex multi-dimensional trade-offs.
