Our Climate Adaption and Landscape Architecture Department is experiencing an increased demand for services within hydraulic calculations for the design of rainwater and sewage systems, as well as climate change adaptation measures. You will join our Climate Adaption and Landscape Architecture department

As our new Modelling Specialist you will be part of a vibrant department of 20 people, including engineers, landscape architects and geographers. We have a strong tradition of multidisciplinary work and collaborate closely with other colleagues and project teams across the company. The department is located in Rambøll’s head office in Copenhagen, which is situated right next to the Ørestad Metro and rail station

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Hydraulic and hydrological modelling for some of the largest and most interesting networks and freshwater systems in Denmark and abroad
  • Flood calculations and analyses
  • Climate Adaptation tasks and climate risk calculations
  • Planning of storm water management in cities and on regional scale
  • Wastewater, climate adaptation and cloudburst planning for municipalities, utilities and private clients
  • Modelling and design of Sustainable Urban Drainage solutions and Blue-Green Infrastructure
  • Modelling and design of climate adaptation solutions above and below ground in some of the largest Danish and international projects, including parks, roads, railway, bridge and tunnel projects

Your starting point for constant growth

From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:

  • M.Sc. in Engineering or similar
  • At least 8 years’ experience in most of the above-mentioned areas
  • Specialist within hydraulic modelling and have solid experience with rainwater management and climate adaptation
  • Solid experience in MIKE Urban, MIKE FLOOD or similar hydraulic calculation programs
  • Ability and desire to work both independently and in collaboration with other dedicated colleagues
  • Familiarity with the use of GIS tools
  • support and assist initiatives to strengthen and deepen client relationships – a strong existing client base will be an advantage

Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and solve complex problems, particularly in relation to modelling. You are a team player, who understand the importance of sharing knowledge and supporting the growth of your colleagues.
