Lead Integration Architect and Community Manager - Global IT

To help us achieve our vision and fuel our digital transformation, we are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about integrations in general and API’s specifically, and who wants to play a leading role in the further development of our integration strategy, as well as establish and lead an API community.

You will be joining our Global IT Organization which has more than 400 employees with main hubs in Denmark, Poland, North America, and Asia Pacific region. This organization plays an essential role when it comes to reaching the business goals of Demant.

Drive your Integration Strategy and API Community
We are looking for a Lead Integration Architect, who will be responsible for taking our integration strategy to the next level. As part of this, you will be responsible for building a global API Community where developers and other stakeholders across functions and teams can exchange experiences and gaining knowledge about API concepts and new initiatives. Joining us, you can look forward to playing a central role in maturing Demant future integration landscape. You will proselytize agreed API framework and standards across the entire organization.

You will take a role as team lead for a group of highly skilled and engaged Integration Solution Architects and Developers based in Denmark and Poland. The team develops and operate global integration solutions in close cooperation with Business and other IT teams. As Lead Integration Architect you will be responsible for our integration strategy, governance, and development of the team. Furthermore, you will be reporting to the Director of Integration, RPA and Print and you will be working out of the Demant HQ in Smørum.

Your main Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, drive, and promote our API First Strategy 2.0
  • Establish and manage a Demant API Community
  • Head our Integration Architecture Board
  • Lead and coach the Central Integration Team
  • Own and demonstrate knowledge of all phases of the API life cycle
  • Ensure architectural alignment across developer teams
  • Enforce standards for performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and cost-efficiency

Your Skills and Experience
We expect you to have a bachelor or master’s degree in IT, Engineering or similar. You have worked with integration architecture in a large international organization. Maybe you are already a Integration Architect, Solution Architect or Senior Integration Developer looking for new challenges. Regardless of your background, you have operated in a complex system landscape.

The position requires:

  • Proven experience as a senior developer
  • Demonstrate work experience designing solutions leveraging capabilities from major public cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Proficiency in API management and event driven integration
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile ways of working
  • Great communication skills and ability to engage with architects and developers from different IT and R&D teams
  • Experience building a Center of Excellence and / or launching community initiatives
  • Curious by nature and up to date with integration architecture and related technology trends

As a person, you create trust, have a positive and innovative mind set with a can-do attitude and then you are of course a team player easy going and able to communicate easily with colleagues at all levels – no matter where they are based around the world. Furthermore, interpreting, understanding, and solving complicated problems is second nature to you.
To connect with them and drive our global agenda you can expect 10-20 days of travel annually.
