Job Description
Danfoss Power Solutions is in the search of a Platform Architect (m/f/d). You will have the responsibility of defining the concept and architecture for taking the PLUS+1 platform to the next level. With your experience you are guiding and mentoring the development teams around the world to implement the architecture. You will be working cross multiple domains – usually cloud, embedded, desktop, and mobile domains. The position can be in Nordborg or Copenhagen, Denmark; Älmhult, Sweden or Hamburg, Germany.
Job Responsibilities
If you take this exciting challenge as our new Platform Architect, your main areas of responsibility will be to:
Clarify requirements in collaboration with product owners
- Develop high-level product specifications and concepts with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Ensure new products and solutions facilitate reusability, compatibility, security, and extensibility within the PLUS+1 portfolio.
- Use tools and methodologies to create representation of the desired product.
- Communicate concepts and high-level specification to the development teams
- Oversee progress of development teams to ensure consistency with initial design
- Ensure solution meet all requirements of quality, security, maintainability etc.
Background & Skills
To be successful in this position, we are expecting you to have proven experience as software architect together with master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field. It is beneficial if you have previous experience in software development in both embedded and cloud domain, combined with requirement management. Software development in various languages (C, JavaScript, Java etc.) is something you are familiar with and you understand software quality assurance principles.
On a more personal level, you have excellent communication and collaboration skills. For you it comes naturally to understand the big picture and build the trust among your peers and stakeholders. Your approach is proactive and structured. Teamwork is something you value, but you can be independent in your areas of responsibility.
