Scientist to drive exploration of novel drug delivery systems for Regenerative Medicine
If you have background in biology and extensive experience exploring mechanisms to target drug delivery systems, this could be the unique opportunity you’re looking for to help bridge early explorative drug discovery and delivery using a range of in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo models.

About you
You have a strong and proven track record within biological model systems and drug targeting mechanisms, as well as a keen understanding and practical experience of drug delivery technologies. Together with an explorative mindset you combine practical knowhow with deep understanding to explore skin targeting of novel drug delivery technologies in various models.
As a scientist you are curious by nature and thrive in exploring the unknown, with a positive and constructive attitude and scientific rigor. It is important that you are collaborative and a team player, who enjoys challenging scientific discussions and conundrums.
About us
The Regenerative Medicine Team is a newly established team in the Explorative Biology department at LEO Pharma. We are responsible for characterizing and exploring novel drug modalities with a vision to cure rare skin diseases. Part of this task is to explore and develop novel drug delivery technologies in close collaboration with the explorative formulation team as well as other teams investigating and establishing biological test systems. Our international team is characterized by a collaborative and knowledge sharing mentality, in an open and informal working atmosphere.
Your role will be to
Participate in building up the area within regenerative medicine at LEO Pharma by special focus on targeting of the skin and setting up models Develop in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo models in close collaboration with colleagues across Skin Research, to explore delivery to relevant cells and to evaluate various drug delivery systems Explore targeting mechanisms to be able to translate these into delivery systems Lead and independently drive the wet-lab work Provide strategic input and technical guidance on projects and closely collaborate with key stakeholders within LEO Pharma and external partners Identify and stay updated on trends and state-of the art drug delivery technologies and introduce relevant novel opportunities Promote and engage in scientific discussions across the research area Help promote a culture of exploration and collaboration while maintaining accountability, scientific rigor and timely progression of own tasks.
