Do you have experience with developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace and want to contribute to the construction of the world longest immersed tunnel?
At FLC we have an exciting job opportunity for a Marine Health, Safety and Environment Manager. In your daily work on the construction site in Rødby you will coordinate the Marine HSE Team and play an important role in shaping a safety work environment. You and your Team will drive the safety culture and continually strive to improve our safety program’s quality, effectiveness, and support throughout the organization.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop the HS&WE and Environmental management system specific to marine activities & harbour management, in compliance with the relevant norms and regulations
  • Participate to the Safety in Design / Environmental in Design sessions during the design of pontoons and work prepation of marine activities whenever appropriate
  • Review marine work preparation documentation
  • Establish the Marine HS&WE Plan
  • Establish the emergency preparedness elements to be incorporated in the Project Emergency Preparedness & Response plan
  • Establish the FLC vessel management plan and review the vessel management plans from others
  • Liaise with environment department to incorporate marine environmental and SD aspects into environmental plans and procedures
  • Ensure that all HS&WE coordination and environmental matters are properly handled in nearshore, harbour and offshore working areas
  • Ensure daily coordination of the marine HS&WE Coordinators’ team
  • Organise the environmental monitoring of near shore, harbour and offshore activities with the support of the Environmental Team.
  • Monitor the proper implementation of HS&WE and Environmental Management Manual, plans and procedures
  • Organise vessel inspections
  • Ensure all HS&WE and Environmental inspections and meetings are carried out in accordance with legal, contractual and project requirements
  • Participate to the HSE committees chaired by the Owner
  • Coordinate, with the support of the HS&WE Training Administrator, the necessary HS&WE and Environmental trainings, inductions, awareness campaigns and Behaviour Based Safety programme in order to ensure that all project personnel, service providers and third parties understand HS&WE and Environmental policies, systems and procedures
  • Participate (and sometime lead) incident/accident investigations
  • Accompany the FLC Team in defining corrective and preventive actions when appropriate and participate to their communication by establishing Good practices and HS&WE or Environmental Alerts reports that are spread through the organisation
  • Collaborate with the Owner HS&WE and Environmental personnel, Danish Work Environment Authority inspectors, DMA inspectors and any stakeholders whenever needed

Required qualifications:

  • At least 5 years experience with HSE management/marine industry
  • Relevant educational background (Engineering or Master degree)
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in reporting and developing policies
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE guidelines and practices
  • Ability to deal with uncertainty, complex situations and manage change effectively
