Biotech student job: Optimize microalgae fermentation

The whole agriculture- and farming industry is inefficient and broken – we are looking to fix this. Blonde Chlorella contains a lot of great things – including 3x more protein than meat, omega 3+6 fatty acids, vitamins & minerals. If you haven’t heard about it then try googling ‘Chlorella benefits’ and see for yourself.

As they grow in water in a closed system with no waste and no pesticides used, they are also among the most sustainable protein sources – beating soy and pea protein as well.

We are starting a project aiming optimize the grown of our microalgae strain in collaboration with DTU Lyngby, and this is where we need your help.

We are looking for a master student within the biotech field, to start, run, maintain, and analyze the growth of our strain in 1L sartorius fermenters.

The working hours will be around 10 hours per week with a somewhat flexible schedule.

It will be a benefit if you live nearby DTU Lyngby, so you can easily take samples etc.

Additionally, it will be a benefit if you have practical lab experience, especially if you have experience with sartorius fermenters.

You will get training to use the equipment, and you will be supervised with a algae expert with 30 years experience in the field.
